Melaka 4 Days Hi you two.
No illnesses yet Steve! Unless of course you count the narcolepsy. If you keep falling asleep and napping you won't get your moneys worth out of the trip.
Looking forward to your next installment and thoughts on Kuala Lumpar. (Is that where the Oompa Lumpas come from?)
Take care. Enjoy and STAY AWAKE.
Glad your having a good time Hi both great to read your blog. General comment seems to be that its good that you two are both small when it comes to the travel and rooms. Jane and I have just got back from our Rhine river cruise it was wonderful. We were totally spoiled and pampered all week and visited beautiful and interesting places (Heidelburg/Cologne/Strasburg etc). Three course lunches and diners and lots of wine and beer.
Keep blogging as its great to hear about your adventures.
Spoiled! Hi
I'm pleased to hear that you enjoyed your cruise. Were you rubbing it in about luxury ??
We've just bought 2 cups of coffee, now that's luxury to us !
Hope you continue to enjoy our letters from Malaysia
Hi Really enjoying your diary/blog. Excellent writing Steve. Great pics Christine. What a team!
Well, it's all ok here in sunny Cabrera Avenue. We went down to the boat sun/mon even stayed under canvas in a field where the steam train thunders past hourly up til 11pm!! (OK hardly worth a mention compared to your tales!!) All the best Love Deb & Neil
Under canvaas Hi Debbie
Pleased to hear that you still think we're worth logging into. At least Neil's been able to use the boat again, even camping could be better than our next stop?
your adventure Chris/Steve Hi
Thanks for the blog update hilarious had a good laugh you should think about turning your adventure into a book
glad you are having good experiences like your style enjoy catch up soon
Destitute? Been to K-L. Worked there for a few weeks just as they were finishing the Petronas Tower, Malaysia's Electrical Control Room is directly opposite. I'm sure you'll be fascinated by that. Suggest a boat to Crab Island from Klang. K-L too busy and far too many cars for me though.
Standing waiting for the bus you look destitute Steve!
Petronas Towers Hi
We're only in KL for two days, we've been here before and it's a horrible place.
Going up the PT towers tomorrow and will keep a look out for your control room !
After finally finding your blog address! What a delight to hear about the first leg of your journey! For those of us who are unlikely to travel to such exotic parts we can experience a little of it through your eyes (while remembering of course that your eyesight is not 20/20!). Definitely a book in this Steve if you keep the amusing anecdotes coming, just upload the blog to Amazon self publishing and you're done! Keep well, stay safe.
Your'e signed up hi
Sorry you had problems finding us. I've now added you to the automatic notification list.
You'll hear from us now even if you don't want to !
Singapore Loved reading your amusing account which kept me in stitches. You make it happy reading. You seem to be taking everything in your stride = dont lose the watch again!
Beard ? hi
I'm pleased to see you've checked up on us. I shaved the beard off about 3 years ago but I'm now growing a new goatee. Not sure I'll keep it though, depends on the colour it turns out !
Couldn't afford a gin sling at £19!
Singapore 3 days This is my third attempt to add a comment! Previous ones on my phone so might be why they haven't appeared. Anyway don't want you to think we've forgotten you already. Very impressed with your extensive blog and looking forward to the next installment. Where's your next destination? Take care and ENJOY.
At last! I thought you'd gone and left me !
Next installment in preparation and will be sent when we leave.
I'll always keep you guessing the next destination, surprise is everything!
I too can see a book emerging here. How about \'Travels With My............Wife\'? (Aunt\'s been done). Raffles looks a real \'prize\' too, hope you ate every crumb!
Very entertaining I think you have found your true calling Steve, you could be the next Bill Bryson by the end of this trip. I hope you didn't sign all your copyrights away when you signed up on this Blog site? Keep the updates coming, fun stuff!
Blog hi
I'm pleased to you have found it worth reading and continue to do so. Thanks for the message, it's nice to hear from people.
I hope your tennis is still improving and look forward to exchanging shots on my return !
Steve
Wow! What an adventure already!! Definitely a new way of life for the next 12 months. Guess you'll have to get used to the lowlights and the highlights but hope your trip lives up to your expectations.
Good night at bridge last night but they beat us in the end, of course, even though Julia and I got a slam!!
Keep safe and well.
Yummy Mmm! Plasic knives and forks, plastic plates... reminds me of somebody's BBQ I went to, not all that long ago. It sounds like your gastronomic delights are proving somewhat unpredictable. Burger King indeed!! I'm ashamed of you!
We are Steve & Chris. In 2013/2014 we travelled around the world and had a wonderful time. The nomadic existence suited us more than we could have imagined. So once back in the UK we soon got bored (well I did) and over the winter months planned another trip. Only 3 months this time to revisit Malaysia, the bits we missed last time and to explore the outback of Australia.
Only crocodiles, snakes and spiders to avoid !
