Utrecht was a pleasure to be in - thanks for 'hsoting' me D. It's much more sane than Amsterdam! I could have mentioned the Dutch Pope Adrian VI being from here, oh, and the frontier of the Roman Empire passed through the city - I have now though.

Mu first guess would be a mixture of the lack of funds to pull them down and redevelop but my more cynical guess would also include that the government wants to show the damage that was done by NATO to create sympathy. Both I reckon...the Serbs I met are in denial about their role in the wars of the 1990s.

I started this travel blog, firstly to avoid sending out over-long group emails updating everybody on my travels. You know, the ones where you feel slightly snubbed by the impersonal nature of, “Hey, everybody! (but to no one in particular)”.
