Thailand-Urlaub Hallo,
Scamming Sihanoukville Oh dear...we haven't been back to Sihanoukville for 2 years due to the scamming we experienced there (and a theft on the beach!), good to see the Cambodians have cleaned up their act concerning the scamming here (ha!) - there was the motorbike scam going on back then too. Sorry you had a bad experience in Sihanoukville, it did used to be a great (and cheap!) place to chill out. Hopefully Vietnam will be better - we loved Vietnam!
great times! Loving your blog and it brings back some good (but very hot!) memories of the wonderful time we had there. You photos are beautiful with the blue sky behind.. really brings out the colours. Keep enjoying it!
Polly the Travel Frog Wow! What a surprise to see the picture of Polly in your blog...thanks for mentioning her. We have been very busy changing our website over to its new format...very soon, within the next week, I'll send you an email (and a log in password) which will explain how to post to the new site. I love reading about your adventures!

thanks, i know Now if only I didn't leave my tripod at home.... I saw the flashes of lightening in the sky from our bungalow so I ran down to the beach, found an old palm stub and placed the camera up. Set it for manual and increased the +- to +max, shutter to 30 sec, aperture to 4.5 and let it rip, probably a little of a lucky shot as I took about 5 and this being the only one with a bolt lightening.
Cheers,
Scott

Awesome! I can definitely relate and love reading about your story. My bf and I quit our jobs in 2008 and did a year abroad. Best decision we ever made. Even though we are back in a crappy economy and still looking for work it was worth it! Enjoy your travels!
Hello to my namesake (and kirsty!) Been reading your blogs for a while (just recommended you!) and really enjoying them. Was initially attracted by the name! but continued to read as your blogs have bought back some great memories as I have visited many of the places that you have, and will be again later this year. Can't wait!! I understand you are off to India soon? You will absolutely love it. It is a challenging country but one that really rewards the effort you put in, especially on a longer stay. I'm heading back there in Aug as the starting point of our next trip, perhaps I'll meet my namesake then (and kirsty)!
Ko Phangan!! we had a nasty trip to the hospital on Samui, the clinic on Phangan thought Scott had pnemonia, turned out to be some bad bronchitis so we're taking it easy on haat yao (north western part of Ko Phangan) for the next few days, we're not too sure what our plan of action is after this, we have some friends possibly coming in for full moon so either we will be here or on the south coast checking out Krabi and the national park there. then (cross fingers) to Bangkok to FINALLY do some sight seeing and then Cambodia.
How are you liking Koh Chang?? are you on the west coast or in the gulf (there's two Chang's apparently). How is Bangkok? we've seen some on the news and on google news but it doesn't look as if things are improving at all.
Awesome, well told. That was beautiful and so cool, so well said and enjoyed I'm sure!! Awaiting all and every blog!! Wonderful!! You are a great "crew".!! Awesome photos!!

There once was a girl from Vancouver who traveled to Cuba with a friend for some much needed time away. While there she met a young man on vacation with his family. They became friends and kept in touch for many years. The young man, at the time, lived a world away from the girl and so they utilized the wonderful technology known as the internets until one day he returned to his homeland in Canada, and the online friendship blossomed into much more and they moved in together.
After a year of living together and working jobs for the man and the music industry they were considering taking it a... full info
