Well, I leave in two days. I'm madly scrambling to get everything done before I go. A major concern I have is that I'm training for a marathon (walk/running it) in June and this trip will present some unique challenges. I have some big weekend walks ahead of me. . .16 miles, 14 miles, and then 18 miles. They've been having terrible dust storms in Beijing. I'm hoping the hotel I end up in has a fitness facility that is equipped with a treadmill so I can more easily keep up on my training. But if not, I'm resourceful. . .I'll figure something out. :) I'm going to miss my sunny San Diego, but I'm looking forward to having some marvelous new adventures!... read more
