Fandangled Toilet. . . Dick, You always manage to use the most amusing turns of phrase! I miss you guys too. As for the toilet, I am happy to report that I have not peed on either of my feet yet. . .but I did trip and almost fall the other day coming out of the stall (they are raised up a step off the main bathroom floor and I forgot). Fortunately no one was there to witness my less than graceful egress. :) Take care and I will see you in about a week. Wendy
Hey Stop it. All this fun, drink, touring, eating stinky things, etc. etc. seems wrong. What are you doing? What's your main complaint; that fandangled toilet? So what a little extra peepeecaca-the maid will get it.
Wendy, you are an inspiration to all of us. I noticed that before you left, by the way, and it is the general concensus of the NDT folk that were consensused. Every time I see you in the lab it's obvious it's your place and right now you're sorely missed.
You're a great ambassador for the U.S. as well as NDT. Please be safe, continue to enjoy and see you soon. Say Hi to Danbo for us.
Beautiful, smart girl I think it fits you to a T. I'm glad you are enjoying your time there. I just hope that you don't enjoy it to much as to want to stay. We want you home here to. Especially the babies. And some sign language is universal no matter where.

Excellent English Sophia, I think you're English is very good. Danbo told me yesterday that she thinks your English has improved a lot just in the past week. Keep up the good work! :)
Young and Beautiful? Sophia. . .did you know you are now my BEST friend? :) Thank you for saying I looked young and beautiful! You are such a sweet girl. . .I've been having such fun here. :)
Great Day! You look so young and so beautiful! I wish i was there. I don't know if they told you a story about a girl who cried and cried and the Great Wall fell down! It's a great story.
It means turquoise water, just like the color of the sea. I could not explain it well in English. But I like the character "碧(pronounce like b)" very much.
Home Sweet Home Camha, this has been a really good trip, but it will be nice to get back home as well. I miss my parents, my friends and my kitty-babies.
Great Wall Well, I can see that I won't be trekking up the Great Wall any time soon. I'm lucky to get up the hill in the SD Zoo. You do look tired but very happy. So, what would your name be in Chinese? I'm sure they have that ready for you.
Love, Mom
Pictures It looks like you are having a wonderful time. I'll be glad to see all your pictures when you get home. I'll have to have some on my computer for my puzzles and to send on to Shirley to enjoy. She loves to hear about you in China. We are doing ok here.
Love, Mom
Awesome pictures. I am glad that you are having a wonderful time. Are you going to stay for 2 months instead of 3 weeks now? :)
It seems like your trip turn out to be an awesome experience. Have fun! Should have stay longer because you don't get this kind of opportunity any time soon.
love,
camha
Hello and welcome! I live in beautiful San Diego, California, but I was originally born in Texas and have moved 42 times in my life. I grew up on the move and travel is second nature to me. I thoroughly enjoy the outdoors. . .hiking, mountain biking, snorkeling (and I'll be getting scuba certified with some friends this summer). My most recent trips have been to Peru (hiking to Machu Picchu), Argentina (trekking through the forest to Iguazu Falls) and Beijing (climbing along some of the steeper sections of the Great Wall). Next August I was planning a trip to Iceland and later on a trip t... full info
