Thanks for that glimpse of Thanksgiving in Japan. I loved your picture of Mt. Fuji. Nicely done! We enjoyed an "after Thanksgiving" meal with your family at a Mexican restaurant in Green Bay. We visited them after we had Thanksgiving with the Donaldsons in Appleton. We look forward to hearing all about your Christmas in Japan!
Happy belated birthday! Jessie,
Happy belated birthday! I'm so glad you had a good time, it looks like it was a lot of fun. And yes, they have learned the way to your heart ... KFC, yum, yum!
Today in Mtown we await the arrival of Ryan and Jody Brinks' new bundle of joy. We have yet to find out if it's a boy or a girl ... we're (or I guess I'm) ready to burst from the excitement. The guys in the office are pretty laid back about it. I'll keep you two posted though.
I enjoy your blogs so much! April
Nikko Great photos! They brought back memories of my own visit to Nikko years ago and I even have a slide of the pogoda and the monkeys that I took when I was there. I'm glad you're able to go on these adventures and see some of the beautiful sites in Japan.
Sports Day I found this most interesting! Thank you for taking us along on this very unique sport day which is so unlike anything we do here. The pictures captured everything well. You're an excellent photographer, Greg! I'm sure glad Jessie brought you along on this journey!!
Nice blog Hello guys,
I am a teacher in Marshalltown, and I am possibly interested in doing the exchange program next year. Dee Coulter sent me your blog link and it is very informative about your time over there. I hope you continue to enjoy it!! Beautiful pictures!!
Hey! Hello guys! We really enjoyed reading your travel blog. What wonderful experiences ... you had us smiling from ear to ear as we read about your adventures. Great pictures too. Thanks for sharing your days with us! :) Hope you're finding enough to eat over there!!!
Wow, that looks just crazy with all those kids. I give you mad props for doing that because I would have been so nervous I could not have talked. Please keep the fun pictures and updates coming!
Wow - It's rickshaw time Hello Greg and Jessie, I'm still waiting for my picture of Greg pulling Jessie in the rickshaw. Elizabeth and I enjoy reading your blog. Nice work on the shoji doors. Wow, different parts of a cow!! I'm impressed.
First day of school Wow! To give a speech to so many students in a new place, new country is truly admirable! Good for you! Nice pictures, Greg! Be sure to take lots when you climb Mt. Fuji!!!
mt. fugi... hi ya... you look great in your first day outfit! i'm so glad that you had time to feel prepared for class when you started teaching... i think that would be the hardest part so now it is all down hill :) i was just talking to a friend at work who has friends who just climbed mt. fugi and loved it. she saw pictues of them above the clouds and said they were amazing! i can't wait to hear all about it... talk to ya soon!
Konichiwa Looks like you found Dunkin' Donuts! Enjoy, but don't come back looking like a sumo wrestler!! Donuts can do that to you! I like your house - inside and out. You really should try the ofuro and fill it up with hot water and sit in it. You'll really enjoy it in the winter! Can you post a picture of your futons before you roll them up and put them in the closet? I enjoy reading your blogs.
where is the mold? everything looks really cute! you did an amzaing job cleaning the place up! i would like a pic of the mold when it grows back. just so i know what i am missing... ha...
Miss you!!! We're glad you guys got through the flight and train and car ride OK. Ryan agrees, don't ask about the milk. Although Japan is where you feel you need to be, we miss you like crazy here. Mostly because Ryan is the only reporter the past two weeks! :) While Ken Black has his own adventures with 6 kids in Florida! (More KB stories to follow.) Have a great time guys!
Hi Jessie and Greg Hi from Appleton, I was so glad to hear that you made it to Japan, now I can keep up dated on your travels and adventures. I will let Carrie know this cites as well. It sounds like God is watching over you, take care, praying for you, Cathie and Gary
Konichiwa Hi guys! Nice blog! It'll be fun to keep up with your adventures and then when you come home we'll already know all that you've experienced! I hope you get a chance to climb Mt. Fuji. It's an experience you won't ever forget! God's provision of a policeman to help you cross a busy street is evidence that He is watching out for you! I'm looking forward to hearing about all the wonderful things He has in store for you in this adventure.
Have a great time! Glad to hear you had a safe trip. Sit back, relax and have the time of your life.
I look forward to reading about your adventures. You have done a great job with your first blog.
So excited for you! Hi guys! This is Greg's cousin, Judy. This will be a month of transition for both of us, won't it?! We're expecting our second child any day now, and you're adjusting to life on the other side of the planet! I know that you'll have a blast and get to experience some amazing things. Keep in touch - I'd love to get to know Jessie better! By the way, my blog is: judyrich(dot)blogspot(dot)com. Check it out when you get a chance!
