First glance Wow, Syl told me about your journey and blog...absolutely amazing Paula, you will have to come to the Ottawa area with Syl and Guy next time in Canada with more than a few days to spare. Travel safe and keep posting!
Blog Hi Barb - hope you and the family are well. Yes we are having an amazing time and would love to meet up when we come next time with more than a few days to spare. Keep well.
Trip to Ayers Rock ( (Uluru) Well Paula you will be walking in the famous Woolfenden foorprints when you head off to Uluru. I went in 2000 and stopped and at resort some apartments, known as Emu Walk. It was a great place to visit and we flew in and out from Perth Airport to the resort. There was a very large campside with plenty of backpackers of different ages, so I am sure you won't be the oldest :-). Everything is geared up around walking around the rock, at sunrise and sunset and it is a must do, and remember to take you camera with a fully charged battery, as a few people forgot and missed out!!!!! So it is light out around 10 and even the bar closes early!!!
Enjoy and get Mike to buy a bushman's hat and let's see the pictures!!
Hi Carl It is absolutely fantastic and as I have said in my blog it is not a tick off the bucket list it is more than that. Mike already has a bushman hat as he needed it for Botswana last year, ha ha. Hope you well.
which boat? We are planning totour HaLongBay in December. Which company did you use? We're planning a trip by train - HCMC to Hanoi so your blog entries are so helpful. Thanks
Haloong Bay We used Paloma Cruise Company - look on their website and contact them personally as you can get a better deal and probably an upgrade and free transport. Thanks for you comments and hope the blog helps - any further questions just email me.
We love travelling since Mike retired we have travelled round the world and extensively since then. Our motto is memories can never be taken away and as such the world is our oyster. We love staying in different accommodation from youth hostels, airbnb’s, hotels etc and now have our own motor home so the world is really our oyster.... full info
