Good article
Ol, this is one of your best entries yet in both style and content, though perhaps lacking the raw energy and edginess of your earlier African journals, no doubt in part due to the calming influence of Karina (not that this seemed to help in Dubrovnik). I had felt that something else was missing of late and have just worked out what it is - no online comments from Duval - is The Man still out there in cyber space, stalking your every move and just waiting to weigh in with a comment??
Pirate theme continues.... Loving the durag head piece Ol, the pirate theme continues! The photo of the fort looks magnificent! And a good lesson and when to throw in the towel... I'd hate to have to dig up your bones in 5 yrs time when "Smithys Diggers Ltd (Finding the treasures of the past - And selling them on eBay)" comes looking for more items of intrinsic value! Keep safe mon frie!
Oh my god dont tell me I am the first to comment on this blog! Well as always I thoroughly enjoyed this edition and could feel that croatian sunshine oozing warmth into my cold perth bones! I also felt quite palpally your dissappointment at not being able to access the caves yet laughed a lot about the grizzled man in his cock jocks telling you to to get your aussie arse out of there that alone is part of your amazing adventure too and all a part of the amazing tapestry of your journey!!!
Moose scarer outfit Have to say that Fashion Advisor is right. I had initially assumed that you were wearing some fiendishly clever outfit that had been designed and perfected over the centuries by the Swedes to scare off savage mooses (or is the plural of Moose Mice?). Realised by the other photo that it clearly wasn't effective on Scandanavian cows, then concluded that you should have left the black socks in Perth, along with the little nautical tank top
Well Ol, that was a good laugh but then I am biased as I enjoy all you rants! I have to agree with the comments on your attire which is unusual for you! Those berries look so inviting are they as succulently juicy as they look I am berry intrested to know.Karina looked like a little girl in one of the photos so innocent full of life and cute!It all looks very pleasant and idyllic and the Kraftfest sounded like culinary utopia. I await more of the same.
BLACK SOCKS!!!!! Time to throw out those shorts and did you borrow that top from Elizabeth (your little sister) nope - it is not working for me Oliver. Get rid of the dark socks, too long shorts and give the t shirt to Karina...time to start fresh. BUT - you do look happy and I know you don't care but...Karina - sort him out! xxxxxxxxxxx
Sounds like you are having a great time! Don't get to obsessed with seeing a moose, you might go cazy, but then again Karina is there so you should already be crazy. Hahaha, just kidding. Miss you! Talk soon!
Keep Abreast Sorry you may not be doing the pun thing but I have set no such resrictions on myself! I like you are not planning too much and I am sure you two walruses will enjoy your chess match in darkness all the more
Anger... hunger, despair??? .... Thats is not what you told me Oliver. The words I heard were, fun, safe , swimming nude and never ending laughter. Not really sure I want to come with you now.. hihih
love
Hmm Hello fellow traveller. I stumbled upon your travel "blog" and "have" decided to read it.
Obviously fellow "reader" Tom, we'll call him, thought his comment was so brilliant, he had to use it twice.
I hope your trip is a great success.
make up the spare bed? Look forward to all the new entries, will you be visiting Frome? We're in France at the moment but get back to England late August; would be good to see you and hope you know you're welcome to stay. Can't write much as all the keys on this keyboard are arse over tit which makes typing very difficult!
Best wishes for safe travels.
Gary
Good luck Yo men, that's coooool, like your writing language, maybe one day after 99 years living in Australia I can do the same. Is it true about frog??? Did you take that pair of blue socks with you?:)

You could say this classifies the blog as a worldwide hit. I do.
Now to crack that elusive US market...
I'm currently in Uppsala, Sweden, and have just begun the Winter Diaries as I may not travel very far for a while.
