Sympathy vote Poor you two. Must be something to do with the llama foetuses!! Do hope you are on the mend now and looking forward to your next trip. XXXX
Amazing Hello Nick an Sarah, hope you still doing well. :)
I read your blog with so much fun and I think you are both very sympathetic and a real inspiration for other travelers including me. Hope to still read some new Blog-Stories from you. Have still a great trip. Kind regards, Dave.
Catching up I am super DUPER excited to read and see about your trip! Sending hugs! Will read more later, but have FUN! (I KNOW that you ARE!!!) Love you!!!
Woo Hoo!!! You DID it! Oh Sarah and Nick! We are so deLIGHTed for you both! I finally got your BLOG to open. We are staying in an area near Port Townsend, WA and do not have good WIFI reception. I am looking forward to reading about your trip! Thanks for sharing your great adventure!!! xoxoxoxo cindy and Susan
Lovely and warm! Thanks Jean - the llama woollies are very good at keeping cold-blooded people like us very warm! Wish I could send you back a suitcase full! Lots of love, Sarah xxx
Keep 'em coming Hi Nick and Sarah, Wow, what a trip, and loving the Blog. Keep it coming! I am really envious and my forays to Brussels etc are so very tame by comparison. I have a few days in Madrid coming up soon so I will be wishing that I had your newly acquired linguistic skills! Stay well and keep having fun. Lots of love, Dad.
Cheers Dad! Just got back into La Paz this morning after three days out in the remote desert seeing the salt flats and much more - blog updates to be uploaded shortly...Enjoy your trip to Madrid, we've only got a further twenty says or so of using our Spanish skills before its 'adios' to South America, but plent of time yet to fit in some further practice! Take care, lots of love Nick / Sarah
Stunning Loving the scenery-spectacular- and the glimpses of you both. Lovely. Sarah-looking lovely as always AND sandwich maker spectacular as your husband intimates! Nick-loving the beard. While trio sounds fantastic. Very impressed that you actually saw volcano. Much love and a very happy Easter. Mum & Dad A XXXX
Happy Easter! Hi Mum, thanks for the lovely message and happy Easter to you both (plus dogs)! Just received after another 11 mile walk and BBQ dinner including more meat than we would normally eat in a month (although to be fair we've been very good this week, cooking veggie meals at our hostel!). Next two days are travelling days now, back up to Santiago then on to La Paz in Bolivia - which I think will come as something of a culture shock after the easy-going westernised comforts of Chile...
[next bit from Sarah]: I'm a big fan of the beard and think Nick looks very handsome (with or without the beard)! Have a lovely time with the Twins this weekend and wish them happy birthday from us and love and happy easter to Thomas, Gill, Rob too. I hope you all eat too much chocolate xxx
[next bit from Nick]: I didn't make her write that, honest! Anyway, love to both, Nick/Sarah xxx
Back in the game! Hi Mum, just a quickie to let you know that we managed to get to Paraty without incident! Wasn't the most comfortable day I've ever had but my guardian angel (wife) took care of everything in the morning and managed to get a bunch of medicines from the pharmacy in Rio, including rehydration salt solution, and some travel sickness pills which I am convinced could pass for industrial strength horse tranquillisers! Slept pretty much the entire 6-ish hour journey and then went straight to bed and slept another 11 hours...feeling much better this morning and ready to get up and explore Pataty! Details to follow. Love to all, Nick and Sarah xxx
Happy for you Thanks for the pics and update. Sarah does look as though she was made to occupy a hammock in a sunny spot! Sorry Nick. Mad initial problems sorted out but typical petty beaurocracy! Lots of love. The sun is actually shining here too, but not quite as warm. XX
Being mumsy Lovely to hear your first steps on the big adventure. Sarah, do hope your cold has not materialised. Blame Nick. Love the hat you are wearing in your farewell photo. So you have made it to Rio. We are envious about the heat - dog walking this afternoon with windchill factor of about -6.that after snow in Grayshott this morning, just to enhance my trip to the dentist! See, other people can have exciting lives too. Looking forward to your next blog. Enjoy every minute, and much love from us.
