Hi Jenna, Sorry to disappoint you but we have 2 more days to enjoy this weekend!!! ( labor day is Monday!) Not to rub it in or anything! :) Don't worry,we'll be thinking of you on Monday as you're working!! :)
Oh, and don't worry about "M" from our classroom last year because he is all ready for kindergarten. All he has to remember is his takes the red dot!! :) ( school bus) Good thing they all know their colors and shapes!
Who knows where he would end up if he took the blue triangle instead!
I love your stories.
Picture Jenna, that picture looks like half the pictures in our power point last year :) It sure brings back memories. Remember little "M" and the way he would move his hands for each picture. So cute! Sounds like you have a fun classroom. It also reminds me how we only had 4 boys out of 17 children and they seem to be in ALL the pictures!
Shoes Well Jenna, you finally know what i feel like looking for shoes here.
Most shoe stores start at size 6 and i wear a 5 1/2. :)
Hey, someone else in this house is going to be SO EXCITED to wake up and find you added to your journal. as you know he checks it daily and just went to bed when the last two journals were added. You know he really hasn't heard much about "travis the gecko" lately. :)
looking forward to reading your "teaching" adventures!
You Did It :) Jenna, your Classroom looks Great! You did an Awesome Job!!
You are SO Creative! I feel bad now complaining over the small amount of paper we had last year as they "forgot" to order many of our supplies, remember :) I suppose we still had alot, compared to what you have now.
I am so impressed with your classroom but i am always impressed on how creative you are. You did an outstanding job! I love your website.
letter awaiting my arrival home...ugh Yes, when I arrived home for the weekend, my letters from PHS/PhMS were waiting with scheduled inservices. Smiles for me!! "if" the 7-12 are combined under 1 principal, does that mean only 1 teacher meeting a month? BUT, I have one 6th grader and 6th grade is under the PES??? It will be interesting to see how this year is going to develop. ;-)
I want the Gecko I could use a little lizard that would eat the bugs at the farm house!!
There are all kidn of little critters that he could make a meal on and I would be very appreciative.
Kaija and I named her goldfish "Bait" this summer. It didn't last very long...only 2 weeks. It was too hot for the little thing, I think.
Fish Jenna, you didn't mention the other "creative" names the children came up with for our fish! :) and... you forgot to mention that one child knocked the fish tank onto the floor which broke and we were still able to find the fish ( which took awhile) , pick it up with our hands, find something to put it in, and SAVE the fish!! :) Yeah, what a team!!
Games Jenna, Monopoly and Risk are my favorite games! I want that game you have but don't send it by boat, It sounds like you could walk it here faster :)
couple of languages? Shoot child, I am still working on the first language, but then there is the southern version and the midwest version and they do not mix.
It is great having John and Connie from Alabama volunteering at the center this summer. They sound normal to me.
(smiles, did you notice I cleaned up the "shoot"?)
Missing you!!!!
estoy celosa! I don't know how much more of this I can read Jenna, it looks beautiful. I wish I could do the same, but apparently I live in a cave. By the end of the year, you may convince me to move to Honduras!
We have spare rooms As of right now, we have a spare room in the house. I would love for you to come visit. If you don't want to stay with a group of crazy teachers however, there are nice hotels with ac for $15 dollars a night. The most expensive hotel, that has a nice pool and everything is only a grand total of $45 dollars a night :) Bring on the Port Royal and shopping (i forgot to mention, aunt sandy, that cute clothes are also very inexpensive here).
beer Yeah! Uncle George is sitting here with his tongue hanging out after reading your message about Port Royal.Certain things just motivate certain people. He suddenly wants to book a trip. You never know. Sounds like you're having a great time. love ya!
thank you It took until today to finally catch up with your entries. Yes, I do feel better being able to hear about your daily adventures. Hope you have a great time this weekend. Looking forward to seeing more pics.
I originally started this blog to keep my friends and family updated while I was away teaching in Honduras. However, upon my return to the states I found out my fifth graders from Honduras were having fun reading it as well. Now that I'm back teaching in the United States (just for a brief time, I may add), this is just another way to keep in touch with friends, family and twenty of the coolest kids worldwide. Miss you guys! ... full info
