Hey man Hey man, sorry for not being in touch, my mobiles been blocked, I need a PUK code whatever that is.
Abbey stopped my card as soon as i got to NZ to, took me days to sort it!. They said the same thing about it being dodgy that the card got used abroad in NZ, i asked them why it was ok it being used in LA, Kiribati and Fiji and they had no smart answer for that!!!!!!!!! IDIOTS.
Anyhow matey have a good xmas in Aus and a spanking new year. stay in touch and in about 7 months time we will have a pint at a Dogs gig.

I remember a much younger dean saying he wanted to live in New Zealand when he was older. Sounds like it lived up to your expectations bro. Train journey sounds wiked. Speak soon mate.
Dolphins You had a great time in Kaikura with the dolphins. When I was there there was a storm like you had in Wellington.I rode the trams in Christchurch as well.Enjoy the Transalpine train.
Queensland When you go to Queensland you must go white water rafting - it is a blast and very wet! A more expensive trip is going down the river in a jet boat. Both lots of fun. I hope you can swim!
To Liz & Alan Q I would recommend NZ on Rotorua alone! It is that good! I am looking forward to going to the South Island this week. Try and avoid Auckland... not worth it to be honest. It is just a city and not a very good one at that! Just has clothes shops, but poor ones. I will give you a detailed run down when I return. Take care.
To Auntie Maria Yeah the Luging was fun... you would love it! It was the first place in the world to do it... not sure if it is found elsewhere yet? I will be going to Wellington on Wed and will stay there a couple of days, then take the ferry to the South Island... and will do some Whale watching in Kaikoura to start with, then make my way down. x
To Suzie Thanks for the comment. Great to hear from you! I will take a picture of a bird for you. All I can say is that they are not fearful of humans at all...unlike England. They quite frequently come up to you and basically ask for food. I saw some birds of prey flying above me in Fiji.... probably an Eagle... not sure though. And yes I did just want to jump in below the waterfall... but was put off by the large rocks at the bottom. Glad you enjoy reading my blog... I will try to keep the facts coming! Take care x
To Grandpa Yeah I will probably only stay in Wellington for a couple of days then make my way by ferry to the South Island. Will go to Kaikoura first. x
Keep the info coming Great to see the pictures and hear your views on NZ. As NZ is one of the places we want to visit when we retire, we expect you to give us the full run down on it when you get back.
Luge Oh this sounds right up my alley, lots of fun and going FAaast. I'm envious.
I hope you are going to S.Island - take the ferry, the views are spectacular as one approaches it.
You are so lucky, live every moment

To Hywel It's crazy Hywel! And it still only works out as about 8pounds a night! I think it's because Rotorua is a smaller town...but things are alot cheaper here. Hope you're well mate and uni is going well.
Bath Time Hope you have a Mud Bath before leaving. Also don't forget the "hangi"( I think thats how its spekt). It is a pudding cooked in the earth.
Love
Grandpa
