nonsense and sicilyness
Will you be able to keep this up for nearly a month? I am beginning to count the number of times that you mention tiramisu in your narratives and photos. Seems to be a focal point. Perhaps you could dwell on pulled pork sandwiches from time to time for you know who... It looks a bit like her, pigment issue aside, but is that Justin Timberlake's head?

brickwork
The brickwork is awesome. I had to look twice, the two columns kinda looked likes they were on the dance floor doing Y-M-C-A with their hands in the air, the male on the right (just like the lavatory signs), and the girl on the left. Looks like the weather is just fine too! Ah, Italy!

Little girl in red coat
Is this a common feature in movies set in Europe? There is a particularly significant "little girl in red coat" in "Schindler's List" too. The ceilings are fabulous! One has to wonder just how much time people spent looking straight up - lots of neck cricks, I would think.

Wow!
Your trip sounds amazing so far. Given how busy life is, I think this is the closest I will get to a European vacation, so I appreciate your detailed writing (think descriptive video for the blind). Your pictures are lovely too, it's hard to imagine that this actually exists outside of art books and Dan Brown novels. Thank you for writing, I will eagerly await my next vicarious adventure!

monet to you too, maam. I said monet.
Real funny Mary, making fun of other people. Don't drink the koolaid in those glasses, always be on guard. Keep them coming. We shall see if you can keep up a month of this.

persons of interest?
Did you check inside the lampshade? In my limited law enforcement experience, seemingly random events of glass breaking in your vicinity is often caused by small electronic devices emitting high frequency pitches. How about people in dark suits and sunglasses trying to appear inconspicuous? Probably not any of those around eh? Do you really know your parents? Leading a double life me thinks... great cover that, taking their "daughter" on a "vacation"...

So fortunate that the glass front didn't shatter as your dad stood beside it!
