You got a new cat? Hi!
I must have missed the entry where you said you got a new cat. From the pound?
I've been to the Riverwalk. I think it is quite fun to walk around.
New Mexico Jack Davison's widow, Marge, is in Albuquerque. I hope to see her. I just want to visit Santa Fe and Taos for the fun of it. I have a friend in Phoenix. My sister-in-law lives in Prescott and her son in Mesa is the one having the surgery. I'm going to help him out for awhile then travel some more. I do plan to come to Oregon, Wash and even Nebraska one of these days, just not sure when. My goal is to see all of my cousins and you are definitely on the list!!!! So glad you are reading my blog! I love hearing from you.
New Mexico and Arizona Hi again Cuz, - I don't know what happened to the last 'comment' I was trying to make to you - must have hit the wrong button - please delete it. I noticed in your answer to daughter Susan you mentioned you are going next to New Mexico and Arizona. Do we have some cousins in those states? or are they just friends of yours? Our very good friends from our little town of Fairfield up here in cold cold Washington state - just returned last night from Sierra Vista, AZ where they bought a home and plan on moving down there soon. They keep trying to get Kathleen and I to move down there - but all I would like to do is find a lot or 1/2 acre down there that would allow me to become a 'snowbird' in the Winter with our old Winnebago Motorhome. Hope you plan on comming up the Oregon Coast to see Norma Rute and Dave Lemon and then on to Spokane area to see Kathleen and I - although we plan on going to Omaha, NE for most of August and September and park in our youngest son's driveway. Love your blogs, keep up the good work. Hope the rest of your trip is both mechanically safe and that you and Cali' stay safe/well and happy as well.
Oh, and by the way I became 65 last Jan 19th (finally qualify for Medicare - but sure do not like it)
What the??? When was your birthday? Morgan's, my daughter, was March 1st. Ten years ago that day she graced this planet with her smile. And you? How many years have you been gracing and disgracing this planet?
Happy Birthday I'm so glad you are reading the blog. Next week I am heading to New Mexico and Arizona. Hope all is well there. Thanks for leaving a comment.
Happy Belated Birthday Mom, your travels sound so fun and relaxing (for the most part). I have enjoyed reading about it. Happy Belated Birthday by the way.
Good luck with new cat I would love to hook up somewhere. I am back in Dallas for about a week, then plan to go to New Mexico and Arizona. I will spend most of April in Mesa helping a family member recuperate from major surgery. Keep me posted on where you are.
good luck with new cat I can understand how lonely you were without pet or anything. My first trip was 4,000 miles with just me. I got a dog when I returned. Durham is great company when we travel but even a pet like Max is better than being alone.
Are you headed back home? We are heading west April 1. If you are still on the road we should try to hook up somewhere.
Texas Marty, When I drove across Texas, I went through the western part at night. It seemed like it was miles and miles of nothing broken up by miles and miles of rocks. The reason we drove at night, was because it was summer and HOT. Hope you and your Cali get along well. Miss you at Bible Study. We are starting Matthew 20. This Wed. we will be going to Tinity for Ash Wed. service. The next Wed. Opal and I will be in Cal. for the babies birthday. Take care and stay well.
Missing Sam I know you're trying to look on the positive side. I would try to think of all the ways he'd be taken care of as well. But I know it is hurting you. He has a mircochip? I really hope someone will find him.
Nice Tribute I'm still so sorry to hear about your Sammy. I still wish there was a way you could get him back. He reminds me so much of some of my own kitties
Sam I know you did everything you could to find Sam. No one can know how hard that is on you. It's not like you could stay there forever, and it must have ripped your heart out to have to leave. I'm still hoping someone will find him and be able to contact you.
Given the alternative, I'm sure he'd rather be curled up in your lap. Food, warmth, adventure, plentiful love. I bet he wishes he'd made a different choice. Didn't you talk about getting another partner for the trip? Take care, and call me!!!!
Chapter 9 Hey, Paayal! Good to have you "onboard" with my travel blog! Yes I am brushing and even flossing once in awhile! lol! Sam was a great cat. I miss him. Thanks for the comment.
God's country Hi, Berry. So glad to hear from you! As far as I can tell, just about everywhere I've been so far has been God's country. He is quite the artist and creator! Yes, I miss Sam, but I will get another cat to travel with! Keep reading and commenting. I love it.
God's country Hi Marty - this is a very cool site. I liked Dannettes' comment about that part of Texas being God's Country - and it might be where
he does a lot of his work - but - he "Lives" here in Washington State.
Keep up these great journal blogs. Very sorry to read the story on losing Sam. Those little critters become actual family members
and are wonderful company. Hope you will consider replacing Sam someday.

Widowed in 2008, I decided to pursue the dream my husband and I had of traveling. I took to the road in a 24 foot RV and haven't looked back. I had three goals: visit all my numerous cousins, visit all the lower 48 states and complete my bucket list. To date, I am revisiting cousins and states, adding to my bucket list, making new friends and having a ball. I blog so I can have a journal not only for myself, but anyone else who is interested. I am madly in love with my digital camera and take hundreds of pictures. I started out with my feline pal, Sam, but lost him along the way. Cali s... full info

You got a new cat.
Hi, Amber. Yes. I was too lonesome without my Sammy, so got another one. Read chapter 9. It starts with leaving Del Rio.
