Good morning Thanks for the update --nice you had a soft landing in Colombo with George and Maria -- Hi to them --have fun Marilyn --have lots of fun XXXX OOOO U.B.
Great post, Marilyn. I'll have Kyra and Hayley read it, I think they'll enjoy it better than National Geographic. Look forward to more of your adventures and fantastic photography.
Wow Butterfly & Orchid garden right at the Airport where you are 'trapped' for hours!!! What more could a girl ask? Your trip so far looks so interesting and exotic and I am extremely jealous! lol! It sounds like you are having lots of interesting things to do despite the rain and then shopping in a Jewelry Store - now there's a wonderous pastime! Have fun - see I don't have to ask you to take lots of pictures!!
Happy, Healthy New Year! Marilyn, so glad I spotted this blog; and to know that you are on exciting travels. Your plans sound great and exciting and FUN!!! and I am so glad that you are taking another break from work -that is so hard to do!!! Thinking of you as I sit at my MC desk; its rather cold accounting away...Happy and safe travels LOL Suannie
Thinking of you today I was running some errands today. An airplane flew by over head and it caused me to stop and think, 'I wonder where Marilyn is on her journey?' We hope the flights over to Sri Lanka were comfortable and we are looking forward to reading about your adventures!
The countdown is over & lift off is well underway... ...where in the world are thou today? Wishing you a safe and an awesome journey dear friend! Looking forward to reading all about the adventure...xo

Experience of a lifetime! Hi Marilyn. I will be closely watching your travels and posts. It sounds like the experience of a lifetime to me. As we all get older, it is by far more rewarding to collect experiences than material goods. It should be a great trip!!
Hi Jerome, I agree, it's the experiences that count, so I'm very much looking forward to the break and visiting some new places and meeting new people. I hope you have a great 2013.
How Exciting! Hey, Marilyn - thanks for the link to your travel blog, I look forward to following along (I make a great armchair traveller). Have fun - and a very Merry Christmas to you and your family :)
Happy Travels This is wonderful Marilyn - what a marvelous way to follow you along on your journey. Almost like being along with you - but not quite! lol! Save travelling and enjoy every moment. See you or at least talk to you in April!
Great news I am so happy you are doing a blog. I have been following Twila Bakkers blog from Wales and it is so interesting to follow and look up info on the internet. I am very eager to hear about your adventures and follow you as you travel.
