IT'S A PURSE
Sorry T. Today is my birthday and I am definitely older and wiser than y'all and I say it is a purse. What's the big deal anyway? It's a lovely item no matter what you call it. Love, Auntie Mona

no, no... it's a purse!
First off, I want to thank my sis for saying good morning to Vietnam on my part ( a la Robin Williams bien sur). 2nd- WOW! I would love to trek through those caves... They look ''freakin' awesome''. I would also love to ride my bike through those busy streets. Love the hotel room and pool! 3rd- I'm really happy for you sis. You bought you first purse! Congrats.

Yep, Erik's right... It's a purse... and coming from a "fashion lover" such as myself, I would say that my vote counts as 4! Way to go LLCoolLynne!!! Oh well... I would have loved to give away T's new travel nickname, but I wonder why Erik didn't... and just in case, I will keep it quiet for now, while I'm still searching for a good one for me... pfff... Now I know that one of Vietnam's bay is the world's most shark infested sea... Is the one you went to the one? (J'me demande juste si c'est infesté de requins au point qu'on voit leur dorsale partout...) Oh and by the way... I took the liberty of stealing that bag of yours uncle Bob brought back with him... ok, ok, I didn't... but gosh how I wanted SO BAD to look into it!!! ;)

Late, late me...
Well, after half of your trip done, I just found out how to receive instant messages that would let me know of a new journal entry... better now than never - I told myself... :( While reading this page, I was thinking : ok, enough... I want pics of T-Dog and LLCoolLyn... ??? T's mouth full of scorpions is NOT enough for me!!! lol Please, do something crazy or embarrassing. That's what I wanna see... like T being arrested by chinese cops... or you with your... not flat-ironned hair!!! :) I think you get the idea... lol I enjoy reading you, though it's making me practice my english like hell... by chance, erik's helping me a lot...

We're Home - You're Not
Viet Nam looks cool as a first impression. Comment on the food please ....naturelment! The cottage was fine ... except for the snapped telephone line which also eliminated e-mail ad the 50 foot tree that fell across the driveway but missed the garage by inches and did not seem to have damaged the hydro lines ... unless they were repaired in out absence. So travel in hot muggy climes is better than dog work (cutting up the tree) and frustration (Bell - Bell Express ). Looking forward to frequent blogs as you have so little to do except pamper yourselves. Pho? Durian? MMMMM

Look up Dragon's Tooth
The "looking up" photo is called "Dragon's Tooth". I know that because I was with the guide who told us that and the names of many other obscure rock formations. When you get back, check the rest of photo's for turtles, mothers, elephants to name a few. You can even name some yourself, after so many, who will be abe to argue?

Happy Buddha says...
Big Daddy is also known as Happy Buddha with arub on the stomach by the locals. It's lucky to rub Happy Buddha's tummy so of course, maintaning that charm about myself is a priority and food is the path to happiness. My alternative was to begin by describing toilet facilities in China. You were lucky to have food as the appetizer!

LOST??
HAHAHA... NOw you guys know how I felt being lost in the Tokyo subway system with no one understanding my querries! lol Mom told me this was her favorite adventure: wandering through the Stone forest... As LL COOL-Lynne would say: " It's amaaaaaazing" :) LOVE the cute local chinese costume! I hope you guys have EVERY local costume and attire you came upon! zài jiàn & y+ lù shùn fng ( goodbye and have a nice trip)

They
I just picked up mom and aunty Joce and Uncle Bob and also saw from my own eyes the Rock Star legend! Uncle JP was quick to point-out mom's awesome nickname: <> LMAO But I already knew that. You guys should definitely put the video of the guy taking a dive while trying to get to your boat on you-tube. HELLA-FUNNY!! PEACE OUT homies!
3rd May 2009

VEEEERY NICE.
1st off.... Sorry sis; it's DEFINITELY a purse. The slim noodle-like straps give it away. But, from now on, T instead of T-Dog will be known as....... <> lol ( Christine's idea and I likes) 2nd- Hong Kong is awesome at night! 3rd- I would have paid a nice sum to play bumper boats! Lastly- Hope you guys didn't forget to do what I asked you guys on your first morning waking-up in Viet-Nam!!! Keep'em coming guys! We likes! P.S>>> Where are all the comments from our peeps? I feel lonely here!

great reads
Hey Lynne, Guilty as charged I am for I have been busy and was offline for a few days. I was soooooooo excited when I returned to your blog to see a few entries had been posted. Now I must agree with the cuz when the first sentence from your guest blogger was not "Hey we are all fine and well", but it was about food, now that was too funny. I'm still laughing over the comment about the white perm. Perms, can you get one over there??? The last episode of Amazing Race featured people getting their hair washed right on the sidewalk. Have you seen that there? Can Canadians apply to be on Amazing Race yet? You would rock and win for sure. As for the food, the snake wine, thanks but no thanks......that was icky gross. Can you ask the locals as to why everything must have a head on it? Your pictures are really nice, makes one forget about downtown Vanier and dream. Let me know if you encounter rats the size of Chihuahua cause we have em here in Tower C. We were advised to keep all candy dishes covered. Lovely! Anyhow, back to your adventure. You will have to try a Big Mac to see if it has the same taste as ours. They say the Big Mac has its own distinctive taste in every country. Not sure if it's made with 100% beef in other countries but then again, is it made like that here? Say hi to la mère for me. Over and out for the time being.

Let's see more of you and your pals
Love your blog. Your evocative style makes me feel like I'm almost there, without the scorption bits stuck in the teeth. Your picture with the ice cream cone was worth a thousand words but I'd love to see more of you and your companions (have you reached the blonde puff ball stage yet?) MM

fancy pens?
FYI, I agree with Cindy here! We want some funny pics with you guys in it! I want to be able to tell that T. just said: ''Hello Mr. Panda''! By the way, I want to let my family know that I would really like a fancy ball point pen in you can get some for cheap ( inexpensive, not cheap). Have a great Humid trip... P.S. This weekend in the Ottawa Valley: 21-26-27 degrees.

Big Daddy
Really should we have expected anything else? Love you Uncle "Big Daddy"!
21st April 2009

uncle Michel ..the dead ringer
Could uncle M's popularity be caused by his really, really close resemblance to Farley Mowat? Love the blog. Keep em coming :)
21st April 2009

Awwwww... The Pandas... They are sooooooo cuuuuuuuute... Tee-hee-hee-hee! What a day indeed! Glad you are still alive after that shark attack... euh I meant monkey attack... euh I meant... well, why are you so mean to them? THEY DID NOT EVEN ATTACK!!! Lynne, you can do better than that, I'm sure of it! :p Oh, and say hello to uncle M. for me... I don't know him, but I would loooooove an autograph when he gets back here! And a picture - yep! Famous family is a-we-some!!! Loved that picture of the giant Buddha on the river bank... can't wait for you to show me more pictures of that site! And please, tell T to rest a little... we'll need more details than that!!! lol
