Great practice for your sail around the world...
when will your next season traveling to Asia start?
19th December 2013

to Asia
well we should head off sometime after March 2014. We were planning to follow the coast again but further this time around to Darwin and the Kimberlies, and then up to Indonesia but some friends have suggested going to the Louissiades instead so might do this and then go over the top of PNG. Luke

lizard island
what a lovely island, we almost lost my peter , we were on a cruise ship, and peter went snorkeling and we found him floating on his back, I said "who is that fool " floating out to sea " we waved for him to come to the ship, he waved back and kept floating, not too many brains I'm afraid, the crew had to rescue him, also a lady lost her diamond ring in the sea, and a crew member returned to lizard dived in And found the ring, amazing !!!!!!! Good to hear from you again, I miss you. Love Ginny xxx

So what is your planned route for the next few months?
I'm absolutely amazed at what you are doing. I learned to sail from a girl whose dad come home one day when she was 16, announced that he had quit his job and bought a 60 ft sailboat, and that the family would now sail around the world. They did a trial run down the Baja Peninsula, and once when they were in port they took their dinghy to shore for dinner...and gazing out across the harbor they noticed that their anchor had come loose and was dragging the lines of all the other boats. Then in the South Seas they passed the lea of the island with full sails, and the wind slapped the boat on its side. I hope you have more years experience that her family did!!! Unfortunately, my family won't let me take any craft on the water after an exciting experience with a distant hurricane in the U.S. Virgin Islands
19th November 2013

Hey there Bob, thanks for the comment. Our planned route is to return south 600 miles to Yeppoon where Naomi's parents live. I think we have eased into cruising a bit more slowly than your friend... but as for these incidents I think they have to be expected but if we're lucky we'll avoid them. I am curious how you happened upon our blog? Luke

leaving tweed
is that a invitation Luke,? I will sell quickly and join you......or you may home home and open a practice a boring tweed ??????? Miss you all heaps, I think the crocidiles come out about 5pm, do so in USA xxxxxxginny ....

croc
neither I'm afraid... I don't think you would like it much on our tiny little cruise ship. We did see our first wild croc the other day and it was in the late afternoon like you said... it hopped in the water and seemed to come straight for us so we turned tail pretty fast, Luke
