Winnipeg is sooo cold..... After returning from australia after being away, laying out on the beach for four months, I returned home to the Winnipeg winter and have come to realize how harsh the environment we live in really is. After being adjusted to the Australian climate, I'm not sure if I will ever be adjusted to -40 ever again, I don't even want to try... Now I will be looking into dual citizenship, I've realized how good the Aussies really have it :)
In Oz from Winterpeg We love your blog. We are in Australia from Winnipeg. We had a good laugh at this. We are obviously here in Australia to escape the harsh climate you are enduring. It's funny how no one here quite believes us when we tell them how cold it actually gets and how they have no idea what a block heater is. Hope you enjoy the rest of your stay in Wpg. Don't get frost bite. We actually miss it a bit as ridiculous as that sounds, its just what were used to.

Sonic: Why 2.5 years? life is far too short to spend in Winnipeg. Just pack up and get out. You don't need much money to do it. You'll be a new person!
hmmm East Hastings is the slum of Vancouver... not West... and EVERYONE knows that you never EVER stay in any hostel that is on the main clubbing and shopping road. Granville is bad - no matter which hostel. oh and I hate to say it.. but there is only one travelling Aussie that is more revolting than the 1st time VB swilling boy from Ballarat... and thats the Aussie know all who has been to a few countries and thinks they are the most well travelled backpacker... who then continues to judge all others and go on and on about how they have travelled before and they are so over other travellers. Save it. Stop being so bloody negative and do your research next time.
Montréal Hi! :)
I found this link to your blog while I was searching or something else on the Internet. It's always funny to read comments from people who are not from here. :)
Profitez-bien du reste de votre voyage!
Good luck!

Just tripped across your blog, and had to say how much I like it. I grew up in Vancouver (still here), and I find interesting to experience Vancouver and Canada from your point of view. Keep writing!
Blog on! Hi guys, thanks for sharing your travels with us- loving it. Seattle sounds awesome (haven't been to the States) BUT I did spend a lot of time in Vancouver 99-00 and absolutely LOVED IT- reminds me a bit of Melbourne. Be sure to hire a tandem bike to ride around Stanley Park and keep your eye out for a game of cricket in the area. Sit on a log at English Bay and enjoy the sunset over the harbour....and definitely get to Vancouver Island if you have time. Looking forward to the next instalment! Kate x
Nice commentary sounds like a cool trip - loving the blog! Bill Bryson better watch out. ...
your making me very jealous as I sit in my crappy cubicle and dream of a life post Budget...
Take care and keep writing!
