Due to professional commitments, I'm only able to travel for a short period at the moment. It's a tough phase, but who said life is easy? In order to keep sane, I'm spending my spare time photographing the city I live in. After seeing the Brazilian side of the falls, it was time to cross the border and do a quick visit to "los hermanos" to see the falls from the Argentinean side, where they spell it Iguazú. "It's a beautiful day, don't let it go away...". Some pictures of a sunny Saturday in Rio. Taken with my old camera, that was not so good with colours. Have to take some new ones with my Canon :) Prainha and Grumari beaches: about 40 min by car from Ipanema. Good for surfing and desert during week days. Perfect for lazy days. Perfect place for history lovers like me :) Chichen Itza has been widely studied. However, its history is still clouded in mystery. There are many theories and legends about it. It takes 2 hours and a half by bus from Cancun to Chichen Itza - long and tiring one-day trip. But it is really really really worthy. It gets incredibly hot there, as it is located far away from the coast. Be aware of taking a high factor sunblocker, an umbrella to protect from the sun and a bottle of water - believe me. Cozumel was my first stop on my trip to Mexico. I flew Rio de Janeiro - Sao Paulo - Miami - Cancun and then took a bus to Playa del Carmen (what a place!). Then at Playa I took a ferry to Cozumel - the biggest island in Mexico - and spent 5 days there. Most of the time I was diving - it is one of the best places in the world for scuba diving.
