tranquility and waterfalls!! Krysta,
each and every time I read your blogs, I am just captured by your stories. It is so vivid and beautiful that it is a bit of a let down when I see the end of the blog!! You are such a great girl (and quite the photographer!!) and I'm sure there are many nationalities that are drawn to you!! THe waterfalls are gorgeous and your entire adventure in this Luang Prabang area seems very low key and relaxed, which I'm sure was much needed!! You are home in less than a week and I am eagerly waiting to catch up in person!!
Hugs and kisses Krysta Bysta,
Katie
p.s. I HOPE I'M INCLUDED ON THAT GIFT GIVING LIST!!
Oh ma Canadian girl! you seen lots of things the last weeks wow i really wanna be with you send you next time more text wish you a great time kisses Fran
Gifts??? Are you buying us gifts???? I was actually wondering if you were buying souvenirs along the way. What are you doing with them, mailing them home? I know how much stuff we accumulate in a week, I can't imagine what you've bought in 4 months.
I guess you;re excited about coming home now. I't pretty close. I can't wait to see the world traveller! You need to become American and go on the Amazing Race! you'd be a shoe-in for the million$$$$
Love, |Kym
Krysta.......i hate you for the folloing reasons,
1. you are so BROWN!
2, you take amazing photos!
3. you have been everywhere, while i'm stuck in a class full of 36 snotty kids whining all day!!!
God am i jealous....oh but V.EXCITED to see you at New Year!!!!
sxxx
I want the credit Kyrst: I want credit for the question: city or country? Glad you are out of Mynamar. It is only from reading comments on this blog that I learned it used to be called Burma! I live in a small circle!
and did you know that Canadians are one of the few people in the western world that need visas to get into the Czeck Republic only because you guys do the same to them. Haha, foreign relations.
my lifestyle Krysta!!
I love the hat sooo much, you should totally bring it back with you!! Your photos are soo cool!! I love the photo of the guy in the hammock, that is totally something i'd do on a lazy afternoon!! As for the candy bit...I'm a sucker for seeing how things are made. It can have a startling effect on my appetite. Somethings like chocolate make me want to eat everything in sight!! MMMM!!
Keep up the blogs, I'm gettin' pretty good at this whole replying thing!!
FOr the record, I refused to look at the pics on page 2...I do follow warnings!!
KT
dude.. Dude,
floods?? I don't get what is so spectacular about going to see a place that is flooded...I'm worried about what people do in pools, let alone what they'd do in puddles!! Ha ha!! It is quite sad that little kids will come and curse at you. Sad really that they even know those words. THe primary kids I work with won't say any bad words at all....What kind of life would that be...
See you soon,
Katie
uninspired Wow Krysta!!
For such a talkative gal, this was the shortest blog ever!! I'm shocked to say the least, at how boring some places can be!! Enjoy the north part and take lots of pictures. Don't feel too concerned for finding the signs amusing, they made me laugh out loud. Even that horrid one of some guy getting electrocuted!!
I'm off to write more in your other blogs!!
Love,
me
ok! hiya how ya doing? wow sounds like u had fun!! u needed a rest tho!!welcome to my expense!!i have to pay alot for a visa in hong kong to get to china!!because i am BRITISH!! its a pain in the ass relly!! well have fun in your next travel place!!loves em xx
no coffee for me... but when i was there i couldn't get enough of the bread! maybe that was because i had been in japan with only access to jland bread for the previous 8 months...
you've done more in macau... then i've done in two visits! especially seeing how i didn't even make it out of the ferry port the first trip. went back with matt and had a lovely time. the ruins were indeed gorgeous. and i'd have to agree...when did europe get moved to asia?!? next time...the casinos!
no more floor for me! krysta. yes, i'm just getting caught up on reading your blogs! it was great having you here. had a lovely time and am really glad that you were my first visitor! i've redecorated the apartment (finally got an extra bed...no more sleeping on the floor for me!) and am finally getting settled. i'm glad you enjoyed hk. come again anytime!
a flood?? Krysta,
I hope you are being safe with all that disgusting brown water. I can only imagine the germs that are festering in that flood!! You are certainly commended for your bravery and determination!! It is amazing how only a few kilometres can make a huge difference, such as the difference between Popeit and the Thai border. CrRAZY!!
I cannot wait to see you when you come home, I'm sure it'll be slightly surreal coming home to snow and so much technology!!
Miss you,
Katie
again gosh how dirty was the water! hiya me again! god you certainly see lots of things on your travels and the weather! goss i bet it smelt? lucky you just got dusty and not wet that much!would you do it all again? good things for ipods!
Hey I get to drive that same road this week, cant wait. Bangkok Airways is the only carrier that flies that route and you're right they pay to keep the road in that shape. One of millions examples of corruption in this country. The government in Cambodia has done a great job making this country safe, making themselves millions of dollars and thats it
cool and wicked wow! still having a amazing time! just be careful!
i hope you were ok after that little boy swore at you! its amazing after coming to hong kong and teaching polite kids!it shows how bad children can get all over the world!
take care loves me xx
Four Seasons Hey Kym, at this point Four Seasons sounds amazing...but I'm in traveler-mode and the best I'll give myself is a $30 room for my last night in Bangkok before I fly to Japan! Even that will set my averages for accomodation WAY off! Unless...you're willing to pay?!?!!? :) Cheers for the comments Kym, see you at Christmas!
I really don't think my type A behaviour could have dealt with the delays you had with the flooding! Weren't you a little bit afraid you would never get out of there?? Kinf of gross about the roadside stands. I was thinking you were going to say that they set up some ad hoc stands and were serving great food! Not! At what point in this trip are you checking into the Four Seasons for some R and R?????
I've finally finished my big Asian trip and have about 9 blogs left to write. So far I've covered Japan, Mongolia, China, Hong Kong, Macau, Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia, but stay tuned for Myanmar, Thailand, Malaysia, more Japan and London!
I'm just getting settled back into life in Canada now, so wait patiently for the last few blogs. Especially Myanmar...that was quite an 'interesting' couple weeks...
