What fantastic memories you will have. The photos are amazing. Well done you two for making it all the way. Sorry Kate about the
blisters but you have to be there to get them. I think you did brilliantly and in flipflops!! It's one place I have always wanted to go - even more so now. Thanks for sharing it with us.
Death March!!! Hello you two, still enjoying your blog entries, what an amazing trip along the Inca Trail, I've seen various travel shows on this but know nothing can compare to actually being there, great stories and photos, you're both doing an amazing job with the writing. I hope the blisters have healed Kate, there's nothing worse!!!!! Stay safe and love to you both. Bun xx
There was a safty Kayak and another guy taking photos-the paparazzi!!!!! It was so much fun!! Loved it so much thinking about doing another trip in Arequipa with some bigger rapids- what a dare devil im turning into eh????
The poor little critter! That poor little guinea pig! It was bad enough being killed and served up on a plate, but then to have a tomatoe hat put on your head and a carrot stuck in your mouth - what a way to go! By the way, the rafting looks sensational, but if you two were in the raft, who took the pictures? Great blog, great trip!

Seasick Steve!!! Have you seen the dude who is actually called seasick steve? He's about 60 and homeless and does guitar type music - we're going to see him at glastonbury! Keep growing your beard Steve and you could actually become him - brilliant! Loving the black and white function Kate!
view certainly beats looking out my office window at the M5. good how all these hostels have got swimming pools. picture of steve with the fry up is cracking me up. might as well have been taken at hatherley/church road. steve growing his hair a bit long too?
That bloody frog I don't blame you Kate - I was mowing the lawn at the weekend and had to stop because a bloody frog was scaring the hell out of me (admittedly I did think it was a rat to start with because I couldn't see it). All slimey things should be made extinct including slugs and snails. Loving the blog - keep them coming! Hope you're both well and that Steveo is managing to wash (cos he sure as hell ain't managing to shave). xx
To JRG Yo, Hermosa is great and i would defo recommend it, it gets bloody hot though and the black sand really absorbs the heat so sunbathing on the beach in the middle of the day is out - its hard enough to walk on. There is the pool however... The other drawback is that there is not much to do in Hermosa but they can organise trips and Jaco is close. The surf is amazing though.
Also, we have also just managed to top Hermosa and we both agree it is the best place we have ever stayed. Will hopefully update the old blog soon so you can see.
Love to Ami and the little Gerrish

yo this place looks great - think this might be where we go on our trailfinders (dependant on if you find anywhere nicer for us).
all good here - the bump is massive - 202 days gone, 78 to go!
all the breast.
can't believe you didn't get a cheeky photo of the naked hippie. shame on you. like the photos of the sunset. looks well nice. keep up the good blogging, we're all interested to see what you guys are up to. assume you've checked on the net, but in case you haven't, the city boys have reached the play off final.
That frog! That frog has a wicked grin. Saw Kate coming we reckon! No chance of that one turning into a prince!
Keep up the wonderful camera-work. Can't wait to enjoy the next installment. Do frogs have a head for heights? We're thinking Inca Trail here!

Costa Hello Kate and Steve, I'm down in Florida at the moment visiting with Joanne and Family, just wanted to say how much I'm enjoying all your news and the pictures are wonderful, can't wait to see the next installment. Had a lovely long letter from your Dad giving me all the news from across the pond. Take care, Love Bun xx
Not so Jealous I absolutely would be - but we are heading off on hols today too - whoo. Sadly only for a week, but Johnnie did get me a lilo with a beverage holder and a tray! Can't see me moving much from it. Keep the blogs coming and so glad you look to be having such a good time. Lots of Love xx
jealousy Have read the whole blog and it took us back. We loved San Francisco too and we didn't see a bear in Yosemite! Sounds exciting where you are now - have a great time. Hope the surf rolls in somewhere along the line. You make us want to visit the travel agent. Keep the blog going - well done!
ooh some sun! Wish you could send some of those rays over here getting fed up of April showers. Food sounds good just my style. Met a helpful STA lady yesterday!
