Saturday 11th July 2009 Woke up during night due to the VERY loud thunder and rain but turned over and went back to sleep fortunately!! Awake at 7am to be packed and at breakfast by 7.30am and we head off from Dubrovnik around 8am. Friday 10th July 2009 Got up at about 6.50am this morning, I am a woman on a mission today to get to the internet cafe and update my fantasy league for the NRL and it has to be done by 9.30am! Wednesday 8th July 2009 Wake up this morning at 6am... had not slept well AT ALL due to the streetlights shining straight into the sail boat cabin which has no door plus I had woken up at 4am with a coughing fit, so it felt like I had only just got back to sleep when it was time to get up and get ready. Saturday 4th July We are on our way to Bari today to catch the overnight ferry to Greece.... We have been told we can only take our day pack onto the boats and that our main lugguage will remain locked within the bus on shore so to make sure our valuables are with us.... eeep! Thursday 2nd July... Up at 6.30am!!!! to get packed and ready to drop luggage at the bus at 7.30am. Got up and found that Jamie had had a big night the night before, she is in the cabin opposite, she had been sick on her steps, our steps and everywhere in between.... yuk! Monday 29th was our full day in Lauterbrunnen, Switzerland - up early as usual and after having breakfast and making our lunch we were off on our walk to the train station in Lauterbrunnen to go up to the Jungfrau, one of the highest points in Europe. The train trip in total takes 2 hours including stops and goes THROUGH the mountain!! WOW! That is the only way I can sum up the last few days it has been just crazy!! Arrived in London and on my free day there got a bus about ticket and saw the sights. I saw the changing of the guard at Buckingham Palace, Big Ben, Westminster Abbey, Tower of London, London Bridge - had a fabulous day just seeing the places I have read about and heard about. I have arrived! Landed at Heathrow on time I think although Sarah thinks it was 20 minutes early - if it was it didn't make much difference seeing as I was at the back of the plane and I could hear the luggage being unloaded before the front doors were even open! :) WOW what a looooonnnnnngggg flight - at Singapore and Dubai had only 30 mins maximum to look around so didn't see much! Just over an hour to go till we head off to the airport, it's been a really funny week leading up till now - I have been alternately happy, excited, apprehensive, nervous and mostly STRESSED!!!! It's funny having people coming up saying "oh you must be SO excited!!!" and they can barely contain their excitement :D it's really great!! I am thinking "yeap it's really great just so long as I remember what I have done with my camera, pack my hair brush, can I fit my sleeping bag in the suitcase will it still be under 20kg? Hi! 10 days and counting down till I fly out for the big adventure! I have had a practice run at packing my suitcase and surprise surprise it won't all fit - just too much of a girl and had WAY too much clothes of course!! I am nearly close to finished packing once I sort out my ipod and camera and figure out where the hell my sleeping bag is going to fit... :) Welcome aboard the journey, not sure how often I will get to update this but will try to post regularly.
