News from us Love hearing your news & your English life experiences.
Our news is that we have at last SOLD here at McLoughlins Beach and will be once again be Bittern/Hastings residents as from 20th March. We will start by house sitting for Megan & Gary as they will be in UK for the month of April, we hope to purchase a house in partnership with Lane & Geraldine soon.
Happy New Year Hi Jess / Evelyn,
Happy New Year to you both, a little belated I know. I must admit I don't miss the cold and darkness around this time of year as you're getting over there, but there is still something magical about England and Christmas time in the frost and snow. Hope you are both keeping well. Alex, Ivanka, Zara & Joel.
Jack Frost paints a beautiful picture but how many pairs of socks and gloves must you wear? Holy Trinity is not the same without you. Happy New Year to you and yours. We hope it is you best yet. With love Val & Brian.
How can you stand the cold ? Come back to the warmth and beauty of Australia before you freeze to death. The only little problem with Victoria is that it is the most bush fire prone area in the world. If you refuse to take my advice, you'll have to put up with freezing. We send our love to you both, just the same.
Bob and Phyllis.
Hi Jess abd Evelyn, Glad to hear you are well and settling in. The 6pm Family service at Holy Trinity was lovely. Lots of music, lots of kids, and a wonderful never-ending story. Asher played guitar and my little Caitlin played a stunning solo of We 3 Kings (She is only grade 2). Caitlin and Maddie McKenzie sang with Nikki, Geraldine and Frances Hewittson (she has a stunning, powerful voice) I played a tenor recorder (i still can't lift my arm to play guitar) and Ruth and Lane played as well. Alex was in top form. Had 76 folk so the place was jumping. Praise the Lord. Christmas day was crazy. We were told to collect Ruth's mum from Peninsula Private Hosp, (as she had recovered from a UTI ) at 10.30 but when we arrived an ambulance!! was there to take her back to the Hostel in Hastings. Mum wasn't impressed. Christmas Lunch was abandoned and by 3.30 Mum was able to come for Tea and watch the great grandchildren undo their presents etc. All was well. Ken's funeral was special. Val is ok. Lots of love to you both. Delighted to hear you are happy. Blessings Don and Ruth.
Christmas greetings Love to you both. We were not able to be at Ken Fairbank's funeral. There were 200 people there. I have an order of service and will post it to you if you agree. Wishing you both God's richest blessings as you trust in his Son Jesus Christ.
Hello from Glenys Hi Evelyn & Jess, glad to hear you are safe and sound. We are well into Christmas mode at The Bays and just when I thought our Christmas raffle was going to be rather a small one, this week we have received so many wonderful donations of gifts that I know Jesus is definitely keeping an eye on things in Hastings! Enjoying your photos. Love Glenys
You are leaving us. Dearest Jess and Evelyn, God speed as you go. You are a great inspiration to us and many others. May God use you greatly at St. Chads .We will pray for you daily. All our love.
Lovely to hear about Msalato College.
Bon Voyage All the best to the both of you on the next phase of your adventure. It was great to see you the other week and you both looked so well and far too relaxed - retirement and travelling are obviously good for the soul!
Keep in touch, safe travels and I look forward to reading the next installment. Cheers, Alex.
UK awaits I don't know which of we 3 are looking forward most to the return of the Wolverhampton Walkabouters. The Aged Aboriginals of Albrighton. The Boningale Bletherers. We are warming the bed pans and have slaughtered no end of fowl beasts in preparation for the Welcome Feast for the Prodigal Promenaders. You have Room 2, with large private bathroom allocated to you from November 15 till December 16 - and we shall enjoy sharing our little home with you until the right place turns up. Pray long, and prosper. Bob, Paul & Christina.
See you soon. We don't know how you can leave our sun-drenched paradise for the summer-less UK. But God knows what he is doing. I have finished the 100 bookmarks so please come and see us at your convenience.
Love to you both, Bob and Phyllis.
Thanks for your email. The settlement date is 23rd. of September. So we will be moving in about a week before. We saw the unit today and we are thrilled with it. We will have you for dinner when you return. When you are in Broken Hill make sure you drive to Wilcannia. This is where we lived for 6 years during our time with B.C.A. I wouldn't take your caravan or stay over night. We lived behind the Church on the main road. Wilcannia was the 3rd largest inland port in Australia after Echuca and Morgan in S.A. We follow you with prayer. Bless you both and your witness for Jesus. All our love.
IT WAS AND ALWAYS WILL BE A PLEASURE TO HAVE MET YOU BOTH AND I WANT YOU TO KNOW THAT YOU WILL ALWAYS BE IN MY PRAYERS AND WHATEVER OR WHEREVER YOU GO KNOW THAT YOU ARE LOVED AND MISSED XX
It is great to keep up with your doings. Thanks. We have finally sold our house after 5 months. Settlement is in 90 days so we hope to see you in Hastings before we leave. Please keep sending your blogs. Our love and prayers are with you and for you. We will send you our new address as soon as we know it.
G'day, Jess and Evelyn Glad all goes well with you, that you are working hard, and have made a wonderful contribution down in the Eastern corner of the state. Love the 'roos. The best we have is as many rabbits as you have kanga's. Been quite wet and wild the last few days. We'll be going past (on the highway) on Sunday, as Ruth and I are heading to Narooma (NSW) for 12 days, sharing a 3 storey house on the cliffs overlooking the ocean, with Karen, Michael, and the three grandchildren....Asher, Luke and Caitlin. The kids are impressed with the three floors. It will be a lovely time with the family. Andrew and family in West Australia are still in limbo regarding the imminent sacking of 3000!! employees at the BHP iron ore mine in Newman (out of a total of 16,000). How's that for pruning? All goes well at Holy Trinity. Good to hear your news. Go well. Blessings, Don and Ruth.
reply to last report from the Nomads. Well, it is easy to see who has been doing ALL the door work.

The views look fabulous and untouched.
I am praying for your work in our Lord to bring many to know Jesus. God bless and keep you. Joan with much love
Your journey How lovely to hear that you arrived safely and soon will be on the rest of your journey in Australia. It was great meeting you both and we will always remember you. xxxx
GOD LOVES US BECAUSE OF WHO GOD IS, NOT BECAUSE OF WHO WE ARE
Our first Blog www.travelblog.org/Bloggers/Harpers-in-Tanzania detailed our time in Tanzania with Alex, Pam & Matika at Msalato Theological College.
Our second Blog www.travelblog.org/Bloggers/Journey-of-Faith detailed our amazing journey from April 2013 to October 2014 as we followed the itinerary from God that took us to our caravan, retirement, our 6 months in the UK, our time as Bush Church Aide (BCA) Nomads and finally to the start of God's plan to return us to the UK and plant us at St Chads Boningale.
