Ugandan dancing Hi Helen
Can we please have some pictures of the Ugandan dancing!
Sounds wonderful so far - when are you going to do some proper work?
Everyone is well here - Stephanie is busy preparing for her big day - Danish hairdressers are threatening to go on strike, which is a bit of a worry for her.
Hope somebody is relaying the Uganda Tale to Mrs Lay and Mrs Oliver, who will probably have serious bouts of déja vu .... power cuts, half-built roads, expat parties
Love

Home questions Hi Helen - tell us more about the team of people looking after you at the house. When are they going to start carrying you in the palanquin? Also, what are you neighbours like - what are the houses nearby? P xxx
Paddy - how exciting Hi Helen - Very evocative. Alexander McCall-Smith watch out. Have you met Precious Ramotswe yet? I now have visions of piles of underwear. I suggest 'Go West' by the Pet Shop Boys. Please have a Gin and Tonic and think of Queens Park. P xxxx

Wow it looks absolutely amazing. The view from your verandah looks like paradise. I'm sure Sam and Connor will want you to bring a pet monkey home. Lots of love from us all xxxxxxx
keep up the good work all looking very chi chi miss lay. I like the chairs made by giants and glad to see that you can sit out of an evening drinking gin slings and taking pot shots at the wildlife.

Work music It's got to be 'Dance to the music' from Shrek sung repetitively a la Sammy age 4 with everyone around joining in once you have pointed at them and shouted their name - that's enough to drive anyone back to their excel speadsheet surely - let me know how it goes!!
Toaster Hospital There is something absolutely and utterly charming about the idea of a toaster hospital. In fact i can picture a backstreet shop piled high with dusty boxes of things for various domestic appliances and run by a slightly distracted old man with an air of the toymaker from Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.
... maybe i just watched too much Bagpuss as a child.
all my love

Music to work by There is no doubt that the most satisfactory and indeed appropriate track is from Mr M. Jagger and his colleagues...the track is one "Brown sugar" and assisted me most excellently on my 22hrs drive to Italy recently, full decibels and a cold wind did the job.So I imagine would work well over there ...you will have to work hard to get the cold although a lot of ice and a strong fan might suffice.
Very good tale so far, sounds terrif.
Love from the clan.
blog I had forgotten how descriptively you write - i can imagine your walk each day ad look forward to hearing how the restaurant reviewing and martini tastings go....
