Buenos Aires, as the term coined in Spanish literally translates to “Good air” which is quite ironic, given that the air quality in Buenos Aires has gotten me 3 upper respiratory infections in 2 months. If the Black clouds of smoke that come out of buses, cars, potholes isn’t enough to having your common asthmatic running out of here as soon as possible, the constant stench of sulfur EVERYWHERE from inside the subways to the windows of your own home can have you questioning if the legitimacy or even the invention of an environmental policy has been given any sentiment of a thought here. Once you arrive, you’re greeted by the remis half of which will drive you around the same block 5 times to run up the meter and take the slowest streets possible if ... read more
I started off in Athens. I traveled with 2 classmates and stayed with a super nice friend of ours. We went out at night. The next morning, we were out to the Acropolis, took the long way and it was awesome. Bright white walls and houses with bright blue designs, a common characteristic of Mediterranean households and architecture. Bright magenta flowers adorning the streets, falling over the walls. I kept stopping to take photos of everything I saw. The higher up we got the better the view of mountains, hills, old temples, agoras... We finally made it up, and there was a lot of construction going on to support the marble. Not many signs that indicated who's temple I was standing infront of... Finally we made it down, tan, and a few pounds lighter from the ... read more
Living in Paris was quite the experience. From snobby Parisians to 30 hours of La Sorbonne a week and juggling a full time job, I must say it was the busiest I've ever been in my life, I think! I must say, I'll miss the pain au chocolat, the pastries, speaking French, the lights, the food, the marais...... read more
Morocco was pretty amazing. Unlike nothing I've ever seen or been to! It was really fun, going to another French speaking country. I loved the mountains. The people were very friendly whenever my friends would open their mouths and say their American, which I wasn't use to having lived in Europe for the past year. So it was nice to hear "welcome to our country" with a friendly smile. The tea and orange juice there was spectacular. I didn't drink the water because I did this in the Dominican Republic and got sick, so now I'm paranoid about drinking any sort of tap water anywhere, haha. But I did eat anything and everything (vegetarian ofcourse), and I was fine. I loved Moroccan salads! The drive down to Zagora took us about 8 hours. And while we ... read more
Three days in Rome. Needless to say, we worked off all the pasta, pizza and gelatos from all the walking that was done in those three days to see all of Rome! ... read more
I studied in Spain for a half a year. It was one of the best times of my life. I lived in Barcelona, but traveled a couple of times to Madrid, Vilafranca, Tarragona, Girona, Montserrat, ect. I still wish to visit Seville before I leave Europe and am living in Ibiza (Balearic Islands) for the Summer. I loved Spain so much. The sun was always shining, the nightlife, the sangria, the beaches, the people who work to live not the other way around... And ofcourse, speaking SPANISH. Here a few photos of Spain... :)... read more
