Bless you... ...for sharing! I know you are worn out too, but I can so hear you talking, Matt. Thanks for the brief glimpse into a very personal moment and adventure! Sis
tears too... don't know if the description of the smells that made my eyes water or the visusal you painted of the sunset... but they did. Love your experiences that are traveling back to us'es via satelite.
Assany to get masters Yes, Assany will be returning soon to Abilene to finish his Masters degree. He will graduate in december. His father "Papa" will be travelling to the US to see him graduate in December. I'm certain he will be at the reunion.
Oh Matt, I can't wait to hear your story of your cross country trip, I was just imagining what it could of been like. What an experience.
Ok, all my kids want to know is if Assany is coming back to get his masters. They want to see again at the family reunion. Please pass that on to him. We love you guys, and we enjoy hearing about your experiences. Yvette
What a DAY! Glad to see the Long boys are all back together (minus the one-Jett). Can't wait to see the pics. I'm sure Assany is all smiles as usual. We love ya the most.

A big Texas Howdy!! What an adventure!!! And to be able to do it all together!! Your comments make us feel like we are there. You are right, we are truly blessed here in the USA. God could have put me anywhere!! Enjoy each mili-second and come home safe! Hugs and kisses to all.
love, Ramona
"the gift" Matt....glad to see "the gift" was put to good use, and tell Rush that, although he doesn't know me from Adam, I feel as if we share a common bond. Anyhoo, it looks like you are all having an awesome adventure. And, by the way, this blogging deal is pretty neat. Jill and Mac
Your Journey I am enjoying your journey through this blog. Your difficulties are also part of it, as and a example of life. No matter where we go or what we do there will be good and bad. Rush is recieving quite an education in history and life. Sieze the moment and use it to your advantage. Your son will gain much from it. Life lessons and common sense are things that can not be found in a text book. Love the pictures, Rush the one with your finger on the pyramid is my favorite.
Thanks for adding us. We are the family that Connie was speaking of. We are so glad to be included on your adventure. My son-in-law was born in Zimbabwe. His dad was an Ambassador to several African countries. My son-in-law and daughter met at Texas Tech. My son--in-law works for the Department of State and in the Diplomatic Security. His job requires them to live over seas every 4 years and we are coming up on that mark. Thanks again and have a safe trip.
YEAH!!!!!! ...For God successfully bringing my family together! Have a blast and hug Assany's neck for me too. How blessed to have "family" all around the world. Sis
Guys I am having so much fun reading your blogs and seeing the photos. Each day I can come in from working and hang out with ya'll for a little while. What a great escape. Thanks again for sharing your adventure. I'm sure Rush will never forget this trip. I love reading each of your perspectives too. We're working on building me a new studio where the barn was. It's looking great.
special day What a special day for all the student's, their families and the entire country of Madagasca. I mean "special", I have only seen Matt is a suit 2 times in 9 years and a shave... I am so glad that so many are able to celebrate with Assany and his family. Please give him my love and congratulations. I am excited for the Long boys, but am glad we are on the last half of the trip. I miss you!!!Miss Kitty brought me a gift, a bird. I haven't had to trap a scorpion, yet. Can't wait to see pics of the beach party and the roasted cow.
Love to all!
Madagascar I've enjoyed travelling with you guys so far. I hope you get to continue the blog as you get farther from Western ideas of a communication grid.
Bring lots of pictures to the reunion
New blogger One of my 4-H shooters',Bowen family, has been added to the Bloggers. They have a daughter that is going to be stationed in Africa for about 4 years, and of course I had to brag about my world traveling family, and she asked to be included in the world wide trip. Please include her, her son is a Jr. or Sr. this year, and is a tremendous shooter. He improves each year, and has several 1st place trophies. See what bragging does? Ha Hope ya'll are still having a ball. Be sure and send plenty of pictures of the Safari. Waiting on the next blog. Love ya'll bunches.
Wow and WOW again How can it get any better? Jett spent the night with us last night. We couldn't get the DVD to work, so I pulled out my little one from the X-Job. Jutt calls it the little tv. We have enjoyed him, but he sure does miss his BUBBA. Keep up all the good info and pictures. Sorry about stopped up. That comes from the traveling. Oh, yes, guess A. Tammie is right, I think the stinky socks come from the Fisks, ha. Keep up the good work and the blogs, we are loving every one of them. Love ya'll lots and lots, and miss you just as bad.
Thanks for taking me to Egypt.... I recall standing in line for 5 hot hours in 1977 under the New Orleans summer sun to see King Tut's treasures. It was amazing, just as your trip to the pyramids is. I am glad to see you are assimilating yourselves into the culture - that's half the fun.
Enjoy !
Madagascar I am soooo glad to hear Rush is doing better. Jett and I miss ya'll soooo much, can't believe you are not even half way through with the trip! Tell Assany we miss him and love him. Jett is with Granny and Pappy tonite so I will have my bed all to myself, not too sure I like that. Rush, I love you more than you love me. Vance, You are the Best and miss you the most.
Proper name Rush.......those toilets with a hole in the ground.....we call one of those a "Squatty-Potty"............ At least there are usually places to place your feet and a bar to hold on to (or is that just in the fancier ones?) Hope you are feeling better by now.
Nana
