Today was my first actual day of school and I only went for two lessons. and they were quite easy. I have inferred that maybe the music class wouldnt have lived up to my expectations for the level that i have previously studied. Well, in other news I found out that my rotary club is in Helsinki and in fact, not Tuusula.... Not what i was expecting, but never mind that. My two lessons today were art and music. I normally wouldve had Russina first, but i didnt have my schedule. Full day tomorrow and lots of fun!! Im finally here in Tuusula, Finland and everything is so nice here. My host family is absolutely lovely and they have made this such a warm welcome to me. Finnish is getting better, Ive been learning much, but sometimes it is very hard to remember what a word was or such and such. Today we are riding bikes to the school so i can learn how to get there. I have eaten some very good and quite filling finnish food here as well. I walked in the house greeted by home made gifts and some very yummy smoked salmon or Lohi. Well better get on with the day! Well I am resting now in DFW airport after a nice 1 hour flight. Right before leaving for el paso, I realized my wallet with my residence permit was missing! After one of my worst panic attacks yet, I found my beloved wallet in my pants of yesterday. What a relief and what a fun time i had.... I am waiting for my flight to london which leaves in three hours, oh joy. I am having a great time traveling, and I love my family and miss them very much at the same time. (But Im not homesick) sigh, Ill get back to this blogging thing in a bit, Im a little famished and would like something very delicious. Im out, I will write when I am in my Host mothers house.
