Great Pix Hi you two - it's been a while since I've commented on your blog. These pictures were gorgeous. We never got that far south. Did you already see Waitomo Caves? If you did, I missed that blog and will have to go back and check.
Today's Derby Day so we're off to celebrate it with some horsey friends. Keep enjoying yourselves.

amazing place n pics must say, place is really amazin & so is ur photography.. u did gr8 job n full justice by capturing beautiful pics especially those of mirror images...
Fond memories I enjoyed your blog, it brings back memories of our 24 day trip to NZ, much of it spent on the south island. We also found the people to be very friendly and interested in talking to Americans. Your discription of the scary roads can only be really appreciated by those who have had the experience! I only saw one guard rail in all of New Zealand! Gene and Phyllis, friends of your parents
Hi from Munich Hi Randy & Robin.
I was showing the child of my friend here in München pictures of Moeraki and Yellow eyed penguins and up came your blog. Flicking through the child suddenly said "da ist Holly!"
Made me feel quite homesick because it is cold and grey here. Enjoyed watching the big ski jump competition at Garmisch-Partenkirchen yesterday. Clearly there are compensations for the weather in München in winter but looking forward to our beaches. I will be living in my daughter's cottage in Pleasant Point when I get back on the 16th. Are you still in Timaru?
All the best to you both for 2009

flowers I marvel at the flowers, so lovely to see at this time of year - it's snowing right now! And the views are outstanding. Makes me wonder how did I wind up in N.J. ??
Keep enjoying yourselves,
Happy Christmas,
Hilary.
A cast...of thousands??? Your cast story gives me hope for my uninteruptedness (a word?) during my call nights. It sounds like the surgeons are the proverbial "wall" and that late night "shenanigans" are relatively rare. Your observations of government run health care are very revealing. Our tickets have been purchased, we leave December 30, arriving in NZ on the !st of January, Timaru on the 2nd. Our anticipation heightens.

Boulders Wow! Those Moeraki boulders are unbelievable - spooky.
I chuckle at the hot paper clip story - a recognized practice, even in the FP residency in Mt. Holly. I remember my office manager's surprise when I sent her out to buy a cigarette lighter to do the deed!! Works just fine, if a little frightening to the patient!
Your experiences are amazing. I've been to N. Island. Now I want to see South!
We're probably going to Aus in Feby to see in'laws, but never enough time to get to NZ.
Keep up the adventure.
Hilary.
Seals and Cookies.... What I want to know is do seals like cookies, and is that kiwi related to the big one (BIG Bird) of PBS fame, and secondarily to CM (Cookie Monster).
Nice trip...we may do it later too... This sounds like something my wife and I will enjoy when we get there. I will be keeping a log of the best places for us to visit. Here in Denver, we don't use nitrous much. Is there an abuse problem with it there at sea level?
Your Dryer Robin,
You crack me up. I love your new dryer. Looks like you domesticated Randy. You Go Girl/ Doc. Your house looks nice.
I have been enjoying reading your travel blogs.
Take care
Shari
