costa rica hey there, i just came back from costa rica and am revisiting it through your photos. thank you for sharing! i'm jealous that you saw the volcano arenal. when we were there it was raining and cloudy so we never had the view you did. happy traveling!
I like your comment, and i had to search a lot to find an article about exit like this. You payed attention very well, and I recommend you to see some more places in serbia , also in Montenegro, Bosnia, Croatia, to see how many different styles, but in a one way, the way you saw it and felt it... but Serbia is the only that stayed in this yugoslavian trip, that's the spirit :)
Ah, memories... Great blog and shots...I was in Nicaragua in January and stayed at Charco Verde, and did the Ramon waterfall as well as a sidetrip to Granada...beautiful spots!
The road is tarmac from Morocco, all the way through Western Sahara and Mauritania as far as Nouakchott. South of Nouakchott and into Senegal I don't know what the conditions are.
No real difficulties or issues. Just stock up your supplies before leaving Morocco bacause the road is pretty empty.

West Africa Thinking of taking a camping car from Morroco which we know quite well to the Gambia via WesternSahara Mauretania and Senegal. Is this possible in relation to Road conditions? Is it paved Roads any other issues.
Thanks Happy Travels
Its Easier Than You'd Think The coast road through Western Sahara is now tarmac, you no longer have to find a path through the dunes. The good road continues all the way to Nouakchott and then east right to Mali.
You won't be alone on the road through Western Sahara so it seems safe. Just don't go too far off the main road because of the minefields.
Have a nice trip,
D
How safe is Western Sahara To any Travellers that have been to Western Sahara:
we are planning to go to Timbuktu overland and thus thinking about crossing Western Sahara...we found some serious warnings about going to WS but thought we might just asked someone who's been there. So how safe is it? We are planning to do a road trip in a private landrover. We'll probably just be crossing over from Morocco into Mauretania via the shortest possible way. Can anyone confirm any warnings? Would very much appreciate your feedback. Thanks heaps! And happy traveling!!! Christina
gibraltar hi david, as spanish, for me the british rule of gibraltar produce me shame, but i understand that we have not to negociate now a status that brits won with effort. So we have to accept the british rule and i congratulate yours for your desire to keep the glorious pages of your national history
informed thanks for that Dave - I'll go! You have been a good background researcher though haven't you!? Or did the lonely planet help out a bit...??? ;-)
Thanks Camera is a little Fuji finepix, much more droppable than an SLR. Havn´t been to Himalayas yet, hopefully will get there this year. Glad you liked the Pics.
yeah freezinder why's there no pictures of you?! Sounds like you're having an ace time anyway with all your adventures in far flung places. However, I got to go to the tropical paradise that is Aylesbury with work the other week - beat that!

When I started this blog in 2007, it was more of a highlights package of trips generally focusing on one place or aspect. My rule had been one blog per country unless I lived there, but I eventually realised that fewer blogs were appearing. Having got around quite a bit, I'm now revisiting many countries. It's getting trickier to get to completely new countries so I might break that rule on occasion. The PhD fortunately didn't curtail travelling with research in sub-Saharan Africa and India as well as the chance to attend conferences with a sneaky bit of travelling tacked on before or after th... full info
