It all remind me so much of my Youth... I was 15 or so and my German penpal had decided to take me to cycle down the Moselle for a week or so (not so much the same adventure as you cycling in Algeria - still intense). we did some 80 to 100km per day and I pretty much remember arriving dead tiered in Koblenz after a long day on the bike. Then my penpal showed my the top of the ill... "yeah yeah beautiful...whatever let me die" - not so she was showing me the youth hostel at the top of the hill - that was the end of our friendship!
Too commercialized huh Hey hey, just wanted to say that i totally agree with you. Experienced the exact same thing when i was there..
Keep it real yea..

Kees' Jungle Excursion (cont.) ... And bewildered by the enigma of their movements, he approaches them with a very keen sense of adventure. Ready to learn more :)
Kees' Jungle Excursion And here we see Kees Keizer, in his natural habitat, frolicking in the jungle in search of new wild beasts to form an obsession with...
Hey thanks Annick. Smelly is definitely the best way to descibe BA. My room here in Bangkok has BBC but as for the French elections, I wish that I didn't have coverage!! hope your reseach is coming along nicely
It all looks so fab, even the smelly pictures of Ache looked rather appealing to me. It all reminds me of my Back-packing years... which I would not returned to now that I have tested the 5 starts hotels. Enjoy while it lasts.
david I know. I was walking down the road in Melaka in serious serach for food, when some guy came over and asked for directions. We were the first people that he'd talked to since arriving in Malaysia. I think he flew out of Bangkok yesterday and will be back in Church City soon- I feel for him.
WE'RE JEALOUS!!! Sounds like so much fun! Congrats on your great picture taking skills, they're brilliant photos.
How on earth did you run into David, what a coincedence.
We're all missing you over here.
You should go to the Perhentian Islands if you have time, Vic recommends.
malaysia wat een mooi verhaal van de treinreis door de jugle en de zoektocht naar de olifant. vind je het leuk als we hier commentaar leveren of heb je liever een email
amazing! Aceh sounds amazing!! I’ve been following your travel missions and reading your stories, which breaks up my day at school where I can escape the mayhem and testosterone to drift off to another world. You not so keen for a partnership in the casino industry???? Doooodgy.... wonder if the proposal is a common occurance
What??!! No Buddha head?? So.... would be a bit broken-recordish right now to try sell you something wouldn't it. It's so extremely tempting overseas to buy up large just for the bartering... ah, the thrill of getting useless stuff for cheap. reckon you could've got the Buddha head for the sandals alone. who needs shoes when you can have a big wooden head?
anyhow, hi. Am impressed that your entries read just like you speak, (clearly). Your journey sounds so eventful!! I'm jealous, even though it sounds like a lot of mad havoc... am ispired to travel! Might take a trip to Timaru this weekend (yes, your blog has had effect!), prob not much mad havoc down there, guess I could honk honk honk and rark some up though. Thats about at far abroad as current wallet situation will allow, but eventually i reckon I'll get to some such crazy places as you.
The weaving in and out of traffic on a scooter sounds fun, very bond-ish. Lots of scooters everywhere must be insane, one high pitched bzzzzzzzzzzzz is hilarioius enough to hear hooning along (at about 40km/hr). Many must be quite a squeaky roar.
Oh well, enjoy the chaos, better than boredom, wot wot.
smiles, hugs etc from NZ
Well seen as I am the only one left in the NCRE, looks like I will have to sort out your progress report. The things I do for you! You need to email me a paragraph or two, saying what you have done so far, what you are doing now and when you intend on finishing, I can do the rest for you. But sounds like you are having a rad time, ha ha I can just see your face when you realised you had been tricked into the gambling situation. It could have been worse, he could have brought out his daughter, who is 14 and told you that you were to marry her or something!! "She like Westerners', she want to live in America!!"
rice eating This certainly is an ongoing excersize. I have curry or fried rice for breakfast, brunch, lunch, afternon tea, dinner and supper. It's always around $1-2; Accomondation meanwhile is between $5-10.
I've been all round the show: started in Bali, travelled up Indo to Malaysia and Thailand, ran to Germany then spent time in the Netherlands, Belgium, Belize and France. Caught up with a mate Dan, went to Spain together and brought bikes in Seville. We then rode along the southern Spainish coastline then crossed over to Morocco where we spent a month cyling around. Upon arrival at the Algerian border, they said No so we said oh damn- we have to turn around and go back. Dan decided that Tunisia without a visa was the place for him to go, and then onto Italy. I thought it through and decided to ... full info

Hey Kees, wow Germany, cool man, very different to your Asian adventure! I hope your feet weren't too smelly for those poor security men!!
