Yesterday's mileage 346.6 miles. We have woken to sunshine!! Too bad for me my sleep was nothing to write home about! A few reasons I suppose. Maybe those 5 hour energy shots really do work! Guts still messed up. My companion does a lot of snoring!! Among my many trips to the washroom I took my ear plugs out of the bike and tried sleeping with those to help filter all his noise! Looks like we can pack up our rain gear today. Lots to do here to get ready to leave. Got my trusty pepto bismo handy again. 😖best get going. Until tonight! Went to bed last night feeling ill. Barely slept, and felt horrible in the morning too. Not much I could do about it but try to suck it up and head out as planned. It rained all night too, but luckily had stopped in the morning. That didn't last! We got the odd sprinkle up until Caroline and than the rain continued the rest of our way until about 35 miles from Hinton. My stomach was still super upset all day, and I was so tired a few times I was ready to fall asleep!! That wouldn't have been good. Just a quick note, the night before my journey begins!!! Raining all day here in Calgary. Hoping when we head out in the morning the skies will have cleared up for us. We don't have too big of a day planned tomorrow. Going to take the Cowboy Trail north up past Rocky Mountain house and spend our first night just outside of Hinton at The KOA Campground there. Planning to head over to Miette Hot Springs after we get situated at the KOA and enjoy a nice soak there. Neither of us have been there before, so we'll do that and grab some dinner and head back to our site for the night.
