Yesterday morning (Friday), after a very good breakfast of yogurt, bread, croissant, apple, OJ & coffee at Hotel Bellevue, I decided to jump on the hotel computer (I had not been online since Wednesday night) to check my email and a few other things for the day. When I went to Yahoo, the headline of the page jumped out at Vivian—the legendary pop star Michael Jackson had passed away (Michael Jackson est mort). We were both shocked. What was weird (especially for Vivian) was that, because we were without the internet for what seemed like a long time, it had been a long time since the incident occurred and we found out about it—funny what having the internet constantly at our fingertips will do to you. Here we are, 24 hours before we land in Paris. I think i'm all packed, at least i hope i am. I'm writing this blog mainly for myself. I want to try to write about things so I don't forget them. It won't be the most elegant or funny blog--unless maybe i could get PaulofFame to write it--but i'll do my best. If anyone else wants to follow along then that's great.
