OH the fleshpots of Changmei I remember it well!!! After a 5 day treck in the Golden triangle, where ,if you need to perform one of the necessities of daily living, it was a toss up wether to squat cheek by jowl or jowl by jowl
The Changmei Guest house was a haven of tranquility...& the buffallow steaks ..to die for!
Hello from very boring by comparison Lymington! Have just read your latest
All we can say is wow!!
congrats on this massive achievement. Whilst it easy to change an inner tube, what the hell do you do about your arse!
Good wishes and continued bon voyage from Dave & Linda x
WOT...??? cant understand how my adventurous & , I thought a seasond traveller on roads less familiar to a
package deal type experience, could not appreciate the sights & smells of the subcontinent!!!
( perhaps I'd better put a pea under the 14 matresses I got in 'specially for you! )
Still, when you finally get to Oz there'll be hardly any traffic at all...a danger if you run out of H20
or get a puncture or both !!! Looking foreward to your arrival
Love J xxxxxx

Thought I'd replied to your blogs..... Obviously if I think too hard,sod- all happens! I'll keep trying, perhaps try Lin Again...she's always out & about .I'll persist, certainly everyone I talk to about your exploits suddenly see me in a more sober & rational light in comparison!!! Fooled 'em yet again!
Go Nickers...+++ love Jackers.
Climbing a 5160m peak doesn't sound like resting the legs but you must be seriously fit by now! You could cycle up then at least you would get down more quickly.
Really great to read your blogs. Keep them coming!
Ezurum Nick - as I mentioned in email - hearing of your arrival in Ezerum brings back memories for me. I associate Ezurum with Turkish bath. When I arrived Ezurum in 1971 I was dog tired and filthy from horrendous trip across Turkey - but found a wonderful hamam = bath house (pronounced, if I remember correctly chumum). Found it by crawling through a low opening in an ancient wall - through a short tunnel that opened out into this amazing space with bath pool and elevated slabs of stone on which to rest your weary body once scrubbed clean. Memorable. On my way through, however I did not scale Mount Ararat - so good luck - it will certainly give your derriere a well earned alternative. The Melbourne branch all send their best wishes and love - and will watch this space with some considerable interest. Take care Nick. Michael
Olympic Event for Rio? I have nothing but admiration for this astounding feat of endurance. Instanbul sounds fun once you hit the centre - enjoy - but don't forget the route out of the connurbation eastwards will be even longer (50 miles I think when we crossed Turkey from there (by car)). Looking forward to the next episode and stay safe.
Out of Istambul Quıte! The road out through Uskudar was pretty ghastly. Took about 4 hours to get out as you mentıoned.
Do thıs ın the Olympıcs! Pull the other one. I'm too old for thıs stuff Now never mınd Rıo 2016. But thanks for the comment.

Hi Nick Great to get news via your blog & also from Lin. It sounds seriously hot down there with more to come no doubt!
It would be great to ring you sometime but it would probably cost you a lot even if I ring you - I shall talk to Lin about it.
All well here with the Taylor team. Hilary & I off to Chamonix in 10 days to support Gem & Jez in their races. Then it's the wedding & then New Zealand.
Take care Nick & keep safe.
Luv,
Mark & Hilary

Michael to CycloPath Nick - sleeping (or more accurately not sleeping) on the deck of a ferry is something we did about 43 years ago. Consider treating yourself to a bed occasionally.
By the way - you scored a mention in an article by John Chapman - published this month in a most important magazine called "Sky Sailor" - of the Hang Gliding Federation of Australia . You met Chappo at campsite in Doussard before I arrived. So don't forget to wave at any paragliders you come across - they'll be looking out for you.
By the way - not too late to get a Spot 2 tracker - satellite tracker that also acts as alarm if needed. Not too costly for a man of your means - and Lin would be able to see your progress on her computer in real time. We paragliders who venture cross country consider them an essential safety tool.
Keep well and keep blogging. Love from the Melbourne branch. Michael
