Hi guys, Wish you all the best on your trip. Was kinda cool to read about all you are going to be doing. Wish I was going too. We have been hearing here in Sweden about all the unrest that's going on in Bangkok. Hope it doesn't affect your trip any. Have a great time and I'll be looking for some updates. is it safe?
You have beautiful pictures and it looks so pretty there. I read that I'll need French if I go to Morocco, it is true? I also read that bargain there is a must (here http://blog.lessno.com/archives/75 but it must be kidding me)... is it safe?

So happy!
I just read the message from your father in law Curtis and it seems you have something for me? I can't wait to place the beauty in "your" cabinet! It was good to hear from you and I am very glad your both home soon, although I am sure your wishing to be gone longer. Conni sounded great on the phone and I could tell she was so happy to have you home with her. Thank her again for me for always taking such good care of you. So now that the wedding is over, and the honeymoon was a smash, shall I be expecting a grandbaby soon????? : ) Love you both and have a safe trip back to Oregon! Mom/Tina

only 5 mph!?
Geez, Deidre, you can run twice as fast as 5 mph. What's the big deal: So you got a 50 lb. pack on your back and you are carrying some delicate elephant that you bought for your mother-in-law, whom I've yet to meet, and when was the wedding and when do we get to see the pictures of the wedding? Mariners? I don't love them any more.Tigers? They may break my heart, but they are still in the running. Yankees? I hate them, I really, really hate them. PS No new dents on your truck and Galen will sure be lost when you have to take your truck back. He is loving pretending its his. Love, DAD/Steven (and things your mom calls me, but I won't post them here).

Jealous
Well, you get marrakesh but I have your cats. Pow has been sitting on my lap purring. Jake has fleas-and hasn't even been outside. Grandparents set their own rules.

I'm Jealous
I don't know Deidre and Curtis it's been years but this is for both of you. You guys are having an amazing life adventure and I am so happy for both of you...and jealous. Be careful and come home safe and have a blast!

cat news
We are watching Deidre's 2 cats while she's away TAKING A FREAKIN' VACATION SANS US. Both have been indoor cats, and I think we have created a monster. Jake, the scaredy cat, rarely ventures out of the dungeon (aka basement). But POW (or BAM as her grandmother calls him) has been so curious about the world "out there." We have begun letting him out and he loves it. Still gets a little confused when we actually open the door and invite him to go out; no more darting through my legs when I'm not looking. He stays in the yard. Loves hiding in stuff, though always staying within 20-30 feet of whoever is working in the garden. He seems calmer; answers to his name, loves being rubbed, rubs against me when I get up in the morning. Actually, every one of the 4 cats rubs against me in the morning. Some sort of cat jealousy: he's mine, no he's mine, you're both wrong, I marked him last and he's mine. Anyway: She left us with 2 cats and there are, still, two additional cats waiting here for her when she returns.

"Don't Panic"
You guys are freaking hilarious! I love the Douglas Adam's references. Following your trip should be fun...
7th September 2007

man...
i have wanted to go to morocco for years! I am so jealous. im glad you are having a good time. But I've got a job to do, too. Where I'm going, you can't follow. What I've got to do, you can't be any part of. Ilsa, I'm no good at being noble, but it doesn't take much to see that the problems of three little people don't amount to a hill of beans in this crazy world. Someday you'll understand that. Now, now... Here's looking at you kid.

Have a good trip!
I look forward to reading all of your updates. Have a killer trip and see you in 10 days.

Bon Voyage
Although I was a little nervous meeting Deidre for the first time, I have to say that I am very pleased that Curtis will be married to such a delightful young woman! I wish you well on your ventures and can't wait to hear of all your travels. Just don't forget my Elephants! I love you Curtis (and you too my dear daughter in law :) See you when you return! Love Mom
