hey man don't be so pre-occupied with crime and death and thievs. every place you go you seem to be looking for the crims. Your photos are great and alot of the commentary too. In sth america you will find crime everywhere. Were you mugged or shot at in Rio ? No.

awesome
I plan to visit UB this summer, part of a promise to myself to backpack more often. Your site's awesome. Thanks! Now I can't wait to troop to Mongolia, visit its countryside, breathe in its history and temporarily retreat from from the bustle of city life.

BALI FOOD
Wrong!! Sure there are many tourists around the KUTA AREA, but have you ever thought of venturing out in remote villages? If you want to eat their food, which I eat three times a day while living there, there are warungs and Padangs every were you look. Most Aussies or any tourists dont venture out of Kuta and dont expirience the flavour of the real Indonesisa.

Whose dream world are you travelling in?
Your African blog left me in turmoil trying to decide whether to email everybody I knew immediately OR check out the next entry. I was left feeling comparable to how I feel after seeing an amazing Magician, sort of amazed but frustrated at the same time. The world I live in doesn't include some of the colours seen in your pictures. Also, animals don't seem to pose for me!! You are truely talented and I am extremely inspired. I would love to see how you could capture Japan on film, particularly Mt. Fuji. I am a Canadian blogger living in Japan, and will be definitely reading future blogs (No pressure though). Thanks, and keep up the good work eh.

Large prints
The >A4 prints I've made from my 20D are impressive - certainly impressive to non-experts such as my family! I don't think you need worry too much about printing at less than 300dpi. I often print enlargements (or normal size crops) at 150dpi or even less on my Epson R800, when I need to. I'm almost always happy with how the print looks - which is the most important thing really. :)

I aspire to the greatness that is you...
As a fellow blogger, the quality of your writing and pictures is awe inspiring. I am a Canadian living in Leeds. Chile would be a welcome change to the Broken Windows, and gangs of Football Hooligans that is North East England. Keep inspiring me.

Wow
Dude your photography absolutely rocks. What equipment are you using? I read through heaps of your posts (which were awesome and should be sold to a travel mag for millions of bucks) but can't find any mention of what camera you're using?

Glad you had a good Xmas/New Year and are still having fun. You couldn't bring me back one of those cute penguins could you?! Apart from them, you have to wonder we bothered with the Falklands ;-) We're coming home Feb/Mar so hopefully see you both again soon. Rx

Nice to read a journal about Tallinn, I went there a week ago. I must say, I really enjoyed staying for three days, though it was the coldest period in the year. We had minus 17 degrees celsius, but it felt like minus 25. Like said above, there are more cheap places. I only converted them to Euro's (more convenient, since I'm from The Netherlands), but for 7 Euro I had pasta, a pizza and half a liter of Carlsberg (which was a best of the rest option ;-) ). That is far more cheaper then overhere. But, when going out at night, prices are the same as in The Netherlands. But so are the clubs, so basicly it was worth every penny. There is just something I still do not understand, why are there so many beautifull women in this country. Me and my friends just couldn't get it. I really do want to come back once :)
