:)
minarets? Ok, how did you both get up the minarets at the Jama Masjid in Delhi? I've been there twice and it's always the same - only men are allowed to climb the minarets! So sexist and unfair. How did you manage it?
Philippines Great introduction on the Philippines! Witty and cool...and yes, nice recommendation on the Hershey's Kisses for Chocolate Hills. Funny but true.
Simply amazing! Man, I'm jealous. More great diving and swimming with whale sharks. Getting prepared to do the motorbiking trip you guys recommended here in Vietnam. Excited but a little nervous about riding a manual bike for the first time...Hope the great water adventures continue for the both of you! Take care!
hi! i randomly chanced upon your blog. thank you for visiting our beautiful country.. hope you enjoy your stay.. try to visit palawan and boracay too, you will surely love it there.

transport I was worried when you were riding the bike around... now I need to worry about the taxis too! Perhaps you should train? I think that is safe ;)
Miss you!
Cool ride That was really a cool ride we had guys. Your description of it covers it well Carrol! And you had ANOTHER flat?? Glad you two made it back to Hanoi safely. Love the pictures from the Meo Vac market. Enjoy the rest of your trip. It was great riding with U 2.
Love, Rob
so brave I am in shock reading your blog. It sounds like you are having an unbelievable and unique adventure biking all over. I think it is so brave of you guys to travel that way.
Stay safe!
Hugs, Anna
Hardcore travellin! I love it - what a great experience for you guys. Did Jarrod really sing karaoke? Not sure if I can believe that. Carol yes, but Jarrod? Miss you guys!
WOW What an adventure! Thanks for sharing it, your blog is amazing it transports me there to be with you and then when I finish reading it is quite a surprize to realize i am still here sitting on my sofa with a coffee not crusing through mystical valleys with you both. Where are you taking me next?
love Louise xox PS - Carol you look fabulous as a biker chick!
That place rules I went to Ninh Binh with my girlfriend glynis in 1999. Vietnam had recently opened up for tourism, and unbelievably as far as these pictures are concerned it looks exactly the same. As far as fluffy duvets are concerned they would not have been welcome when we were there. Hot and sweaty!
Have a great time, and don't forget to check out the old french colonial town of Hoi Ann for killer hand made clothes, and the amzing marble carving factory town (Name?) at the base of the Marble Mountains.
Halong bay is really amazing as well. We did a multi day boat trip/ island stay/hike
Enjoy
The fun has ended. We've arrived back home and our bodies are in withdrawal from lack of rice, curry and noodle soup. Read on (or at least look at the pictures), we've got tales of Asia from our year on the road. ... full info
