We have been in Singapore now for two nights....it's great, but a little overwhelming with all the hustle and bustle of a big city. We stayed the last two nights at a place called the New 7th Storey Hotel, which is not new, it's like 53 years old or something...it was a decent room, although a little on the pricey side and there was something wrong with the pipes in the bathroom so everytime someone flushed it made this aweful siren type noise that would go on for what seemed like forever (at least when it was in the middle of [View Full Entry]

Just a quick entry - we made it to our first stop - a short layover in Taipei! What a LONG flight it was from Anchorage...but we got some much needed sleep and the food wasn't bad. I must say Taipei is the most unorganized airport i have ever been to. One reason is they route you through a security checkpoint when transferring planes so you have to give up your water that you just bought.
