So envious! Cool pics

Like the look of your beard, Chris, must be all that strange food you are eating. Calcutta looks amazing just like being in the UK. Grandma sends her love and wants you to know that she is tracking your travels in the atlas (I promised her I would tell you!) She was very excited today as she had just received your letter and was amazed that it had come all the way from India so quickly. Take care in the big city, lots of love to you both, Mum and Dad xxx

Keep them coming
Greetings from a chilly North Yorkshire. Plenty of snow to liven up life at the moment and Rose keeps shouting NO as she can't say S's yet! Looks like you're having a great time. We are both very jealous of your travels, reminds us of our trip. Would love to tuck into some of your street food, must be absolutely fantastic. Can also smell it from the pictures. 1 month down, 5 to go. We have put a map up on the wall in the "cold" kitchen so that we can track your progress. Loving the beard Chris. Missing you both and keep safe. Gonna tuck into some warming corned beef hash now! All our love, Mark, Kate, Rose, Ruby and nut. XXXXXXXXXX

up in the hills
Not quite the Brecon Beacons I notice. Darjeeling looks cool and I'm sure the socks with sandals do you credit. Glad you arrived there safe and sound; you obviously have to suffer to benefit from all that lovely fresh air. Photos are fab. Yes Alice, Advent calendar time soon. I shall have to eat the contents of yours. I'm sure it will be delicious - I'll let you know! We have some Darjeeling tea at home. I'll toast you. Love you both, hugs and keep safe, Mum and a very dusty Dad.

Sending love
Grandma was so excited to talk to you the other day even if it was briefly, and she sends you both lots of love and is happy to know you are well. Varanasi sounds very exciting, just as Claire described when she was there - full of people, sights, smells and sounds. Sat here in the British gloom of a Saturday writing reports, I too wish I was there doing something completely different. Stay off the Big Macs though - I've heard they aren't good for your health!! lots of love Mum (and Dad) xxxx

family life
hi both. Fab to read your entries, envy is strong on this side of the world. Super to see the photos; I can practically smell and taste the food you were sharing with your very welcoming family. Will it be a long beard, Chris? hugs, Mum and Dad xx

Great photos! I am amazed by the talent of these children and by their enthusiasm! There is no doubt that you had an unforgettable stay there! I also want to know how did it happen to be in their house - you found them on your own or it was organized? Looking forward to hearing from you !

Happy you are safe
Glad to read that you are both safe and having fun. It's a good time to go to India with the festival of Divali in full swing. Enjoy your visit to the Taj Mahal and post some photos soon as we'd all love to see some. All our love, Mum and Dad xx
