| 16th January 2009 Traveller1969 | SAD - From: Going Nowhere Anytime Soon... I agree, Hapaii is a fantastic island, I was there in 1991 and 1993. I think itīs sad though, that they now have a guesthouse on Uoleva, when I was there-we slept under the stars on the beach and the only living thing on the island, except for us where some pigs and wild horses....It starts with a small charming place and ends with a resort, then another one... But it was interesting reading, brings back memories :) / Keep on travelling:) Robert from Stockholm Sweden;) |

| 16th June 2006 Leigh | brings back memories - From: Bus buddies and work woes. I've been stationary in Canada for about 2 months now and your stories bring back great memories. I think you should try the cockroaches. You don't want to have any regrets that while in Thailand do as they do...be safe. dede - dede |
| 27th February 2005 anonymous | Get up and do something? - From: Fried Slugs Anyone? That was the only thing I didn't get. Get up, of course. You can do whatever, whenever you like, or not. I don't think I would have eaten roaches (on purpose) either but I did munch a minnow once. In the Phillipines they eat something called balut(sic)? It is a nearly hatched duckling that is pickled. Maybe Thailand has it too! It's good to see you girls are having the adventure you wanted! - Ron Gorrill |
| 27th February 2005 anonymous | Wish I was there! - From: Amazing Thailand Hey Ash, It is great to hear that you are having such a great time. Just reading your journal makes me wish I was there. Continue to be safe and I look forward to reading your next journal. - Em (M&M) |
| 26th February 2005 Eva | chaing- rai - From: Amazing Thailand well, you must be the first person i hear that actually likes bangkok, haha! me, i couldn't wait to get out of that city! if you are heading up north, one really nice place to go is chiang- rai. everyone tends to forget about it inbetween going to chiang- mai, and hitting the border to laos. you can get some good trekking here, and it's less party- party than chiang- mai! since you seem to have enough time, do not miss it!! the night market is a must, and the teepee bar is an alternative option to the boring farlang bars around kao sarn road, haha! ;) there's a cool french guy that works there, and it's a really mellow place! anyway, good luck, god speed and all that! ;) x eva |
