in defense of europe and the tradition of winetasting-a similar thing happened to me near perth.they could not be bothered to open proper bottles for me(mind you, i was in a wicked van)-even though i bought some nice wines there.
then again , austrian wine contained ANTIFREEZE some years ago...............Won´t be serving you that at the weekend!
Camper Van So pleased the vehicle is standing up to the rigours of your big adventure. Glad you are seeing so much. Love to Janet and to you all and I hope you manage to visit all the places on your agenda-EASILY.
Lots of love

hi We are actually sitting in that exact spot you guys found in the airport in Doha lol, i was looking for such a spot and i stumpled upon your blog :) Our flight was delayed 5 hours from Singapore to Doha and on the plane they promised that we could lounge in their lounges but when we got to the entrance they waved us away and said this is only for important people... :( oh well we have a few hours to kill, enjoyed your blog :)

english plumbing and showers Thanks for an informative blog Nick - your description of English plumbing and the ubiquitous washing up bowl are entirely accurate - both are mystifying. I was in Edinburgh yesterday meeting up with extended family members (Noelle, Tony and Chloe) and we all agreed these are a great source of UK eccentricity.
bad luck, bad timing , folks.alex,i do fully understand you though, i would have insisted on seeing potter´s house as well as the shop.tell lentil she´d better behave, car mechanics charge horrendous prices in austria.off to the vet soon, our poor hamster cannot open his left eye anymore.love, b.
Lovely write up! Dear Nick, Alex and Phoebe,
Your description about the farm makes it sound idyllic! We often wonder how you are getting on. I'm glad your van is going so well for you. Hopefully, the rest of your trip will be good for you all. Has Phoebe made many more friends? I must get Anna and Frances to write to her soon.
We still have wwoofers coming, some for their fourth time! (Bettina from Germany). The tomatoes are lovelly now.
Anyway, call if ever you are back this way. I'm sure Anna and Frances would love to see Phoebe again.
Bye and enjoy the rest of your adventure.
Blarney stone Thanks for another lovely story/ photos of life on an Irish farm. Lentil seems to still be going ok for you but do you carry a few spare parts/ wheel and tools. ? The country meals on the farms sound almost memorable. Keep safe all of you. Election here tomorrow followed by parties Sat night and all day Sunday which will be either celebrations or wakes for candidates and supporters. But it is nice to share the good and the bad with friends.I hope you managed to vote Alex Love from us here in cold wet Melb
Cool article. Sounds like an interesting time. BTW the sign on the shop doesn't say back in 5 minutes, it says that only 5 people are allowed in the shop at the same time!
Hi All, great blog although I'm not sure if I agree with your 'reminding ourselves what hard work was like' logic :) Looks like a beautiful place though and I'm sure all the food was delicious. Great that Phoebe has made so many friends on the trip. Hope you're all taking care and looking forward to the next update!
