Scents Bonsoir,Honey! You aren't only seeing and living France-seems like you are smelling it too! My Navy days in the 50's let me spend times in the Riviera towns- Cannes, Nice, Gulf Juan, etc. Things were beautiful ,and wine and cognac were cheap but the women had hairy armpits and I can't believe they used Parisian perfume from the neck up and B.O. from the shouders down! But---that was then and hopefully the scent improves. Speaking of scents, a little old lady gets on an elevator, it stops on the second floor and a gorgeous woman gets on and says proudly, "Chanel #5, $60.00 an ounce"/ Next floor a svelt model gets on and says "White Diamonds, $ 82.00 an ounce". The little old lady lets out a loud fart and says---"Broccoli, 49 cents a pound"!!! LUV YA
You are too much!!! Alana,
I actually have tears coming down as I read your latest edition to this blog. You have quite a humorous side to you. It si always fun to look forward to your daily events in France. Keep up the good work. Miss you alot.

Bonjour Hi Alana,
It's Madame. I'm going to try this again. I commented on the "dog poop" blog, but I don't think I did it correctly so I'm trying again. What I did tell you was that the same thing happened to me the first week I lived in France and I learned to walk with one eye looking down at all times. They love their dogs over there!!!! I am so enjoying your blogs. Thanks so much for including me. It is such a thrill to have a former student going through similar experiences in France that I had. You are bringing back a lot of memories to me as you create your own. You are so right, the Alps are absolutely breathtaking, aren't they? And the chocolate? It's the best, you just can't get it here. I do miss the chocolate. I'm so proud of you and how hard you are working on becoming a better speaker. I think that now you understand how hard it is as a language teacher over here to develop our students' speaking abilities. It requires so much time and effort which we are not given. You really have to live it, don't you? Take care. I look forward to hearing more, and I hope you get this this time.
I'm so glad you are having a fantastic time Alana! We miss you here in the States but you are going to grow so much as a person over there! Now I just have to save up some money to buy a plane ticket to come visit you!
I love chocolate Wow!!! You know how I eat the chocolate in the dishes at your house!!! I'll be waiting for some when you get home!!! The pictures are great, and I am sure you are having the time of your life!!! Hugs and Bisous!!!xoxoxoxoxoxoxo
Weekend Hi, honey- Totally enjoy reading about your experiences. We know you are smart enough to grasp and remember all the wonderful things you are exposed to. Good to know you have a good "second home" LUV YA!!!!
good time Alana, make the most of this wonderful opportunity you are experiencing. I am so happy for you. I enjoy your blogs so much and the pictures make me feel like I am there with you. Poor Steve!!! I hope his host mom realizes it was a mistake and he is learning!!! I probably would have said something worse!!! Your tummy must have been quite full with 3 glasses of wine and your dinner. Hope you were able to walk a lot of it off. Hope you have a relaxed week end and remember I love you always. "BISOUS" AND HUGS!!
fun evening Oh alana how I love your blogs! I feel like i'm right there with you. I'm so amazed how you really take in all aspects of what france has to offer, this experience is going to make you a wonderful teacher. The fish looking at you with sad eyes hahaha only you. Poor Steven, so glad no major slips for you! Every one should treat education in high esteem, after all who teaches our doctors, dentists, nurses, engineers, mechanicsetc.? so glad to hear how honorable of a profession they feel it is.Hope you have a good day with your host family I LOVE YOU xoxoxoxoxoxoxoxox
Oh and love the pictures!!!!!!!!!!
Merde!!! Bonjour Alana,
Your adventure brings back memories. The first week I lived in France, the same think happened to me. I was so disgusted. Fortunately in some cities one MUST clean up after their dogs these days now, but apparently not where you are now. However, we do know that the French are not always the best rule followers. Anywhere, I learned really quickly how to walk with one eye always looking down!!!! What a lovely family and beautiful little girls. I love your comment on happiness. You are wise beyond your years. Amusez-vous bien! and I look forward to your blogs.
Madame
happiness is not stepping in dog mess.. Fantastic adventure. Inspirational, worldly, fun and what fabulous stories and memories you will have. Thanks for bringing us into your journey. We can live through your adventures. Most exciting is you are developing connections across the countries and creating an extended family. Future endeavors are limitless.
Love Aunt K
