Thanks so much for sharing your cruises with all of us who can't be doing these wonderful things for one reason or another. Personally, my time is coming! I haven't been on a ship since I was single. Six weeks onboard and I thought I died and went to heaven! Then I came back home after being away for more than 3 years (Oz, NZ, Japan, Hong Kong, Singapore etc etc) got married, had kids, now grandkids and we're empty nesters, so the time is near!! Of course, the cruise won't be the same as when I was 20 or 21!
Anyway, the cruising is what caught my eye and I've been reading your blogs and enjoying them very much, I must say. I've bookmarked your last entry and check every so often to see if you are off to somewhere else! Are your feet getting itchy again?? Hope so! Take care and all the best to you and your husband.
I can just hear the island music Thank you for inviting me to follow your progress! John and Sue Rourke went scuba diving in Costa Rica and loved it! A lot of value for the money they said. It may have been their only diving trip that didn't have a hurricane involved!
I know you're prepared with sunscreen, etc. I'm delighted for you and I'll check back in a day or so.
Happy Easter I have enjoyed reading about your adventures! What a wonderful way to spend Easter. Hope you continue to have a grand trip and keep us posted along the way.
miss you You have a wonderful way of describing the ordinary. I can imagine your mother in law walking to the restaurant and then enjoying the half price dessert. I'll keep up with you this time. Next week my 10 year old niece is coming on the airplane alone to visit from VA so we'll have an active, fun filled, chatty week. See you when you return.
Hi there. I sure am enjoying reading your blogs. When you went on the South American cruise, did you have a blog? And if so, where can I find it? Hope you have a wonderful time on this cruise and any others that may be in your future.
A beautiful ending Donna, I've enjoyed your cruise almost as much as you and Alan have! It's been a marvelous voyage and your narrative made it come alive for me. I even felt tears as the adventure comes to an end.
Your love of travel and writing come together beautifully here. Thank you for sharing it with the rest of us.
Wishing you many more wonderful voyages,
Margo
Beautiful Bali Donna, your description of Bali is wonderful. I visited there 8 years ago and you reawakened many wonderful memories. It is a beautiful place and your photos capture so much of it.
Redhatting in Sydney Donna - It was a real pleasure to meet you and Alan during your time in Sydney and we just love the way you instantly became a Sydney Sassy Sister on the day!
You're also great at creating this site with fantastic photos and an extremely well written, descriptive narrative! Way to go!
Have fun and keep smiling!
Queen Mum Karen and the merry chapterettes of the
Sydney RHS Sassy Sisters!
All the best
Great Writing I love your blog. The best part is you are such a great writer. I feel like I am there when I read your entries. Hi Alan! Try to stay cool!
Moorea Moment Donna...your journal entry today really captured the beauty of the water in Moorea. It made me long to return. I'm really enjoying your blog. Can't wait for more!
Enjoying your journal And living vicariously. You have to teach me how to set this up. This will be such a wonderful memory for you. The balcony for breakfast is my favorite spot too!! See you on MUSH.
The travel bug is like an itch you can't quite scratch. We call it itchy feet. St. Augustine of Hippo, put it more eloquently, "The world is a book, and those who do not travel, read only one page."
Come join us as we read the pages in our travel book and scratch our itchy feet!
I blog about baby boomer travel too. You can read more at: myitchytravelfeet
