Cliff Hanger!
My goodness, what a cliff-hanger you have left the reader with - will he, won't he make it...?! I'm sure you did, but I look forward to reading about it in your next anyway. Lovely to read about the purchase of your goshuincho, and well done on making the climb so far on such little rest and with a heavy backpack! I remember seeing lights at night going up the summit of Mt Fuji from Kawaguchiko - I thought initially that the trail may be lit by lamps, but then I realised it was the headlamps of the climbers! What an experience, and I understand it must indeed be a spiritual journey for those undertaking it.

Climbing Mt Fuji
It is often the people one meets that define an adventure. To present this blog with your usual detail provides an insight into yourself that is not lost on this dancer Per-Olof. Many lovely pics of you with Takae. Then this one with your benefactors that helped your spirit soar as dark set in and ensured you were not left and lonesome as you continued your climb in darkness. I can picture you and others melding into cracks on the side of Fuji to hide from the cold...determination to continue your quest for sunrise providing your focus to endure. Great stuff Per-Olof...may your dreams come true.

Climbing Mt Fuji
Thank you my dancing friend! Indeed, the kindness and aid of those around me whose paths I would sometimes cross really helped me continue towards the top and my goal of goraiko!
