Headed out this morning in good weather. The cities here never fail to amaze by their size.this city stretched 20 Kms before we entered the countryside.

The hills this morning were constant, up and down, up and down. By the lunch break at 10.50am I was tired.

After lunch the scenery improved as we rode along the Yellow R., a very wide, shallow and silted brown river.

As we came into town, passed a massive train station to accommodate the super fast train. Stopped for a photo and a super train raced through the station sounding like a jetliner on takeoff. Afterwards made a small detour, missed a turn, missed it in writing down the instructions, the difficulty with two whiteboards of instructions. Will be more vigilant. Thankfully only 5 Kms extra!

Tonight dinner will be Muslim food chosen by the driver from Kashgar.

Hi Roger, Sounds like the hills are not much fun especially in the heat you are riding through! Yes I guess if you miss a turn you could be a long way off the group, just get on one of those fast trains and catch up! The size of these cities can only be appreciated when you are actually there. State of Origin QLD 8 - NSW 12...mugs game!! Absolute clear blue skies here for last week+ and around 27C through the day, Winter in 2 days time, what a great place to live. Take care!
