Today was a long trek, a fraction under 15 miles and a huge descent of 1400m. It was an early start from Kalopani at around 7am. I managed to locate the girls guesthouse last night (they were the only trekkers in the whole village bar one American guy) so the four of us walked together today. Whilst it started brightly the weather again deteriorated and it was overcast most of the afternoon. Hari found us a plum tree for some extra sustinence and by the time we arrived in Kalopani at around 5 ish we had been on the road nearly 10 hours and were quite ready to experience the hot springs of Tatopani. A couple of San Miguels in the hot bath was a welcome end to the day. Tatopani lies at 1190m, we have descended a remarkable 4200m since the peak at Thorong La on Sunday!
