After Nepal I really got hooked on riding in the mountains with my Enfield. Rishikesh was ok as a temporary break, and Shimla was funny for a day, but soon I would be higher up again. Hey, Jaju Rana means actually 'king of Birds' and is given to several kinds of pheasants, endemic in the Himachal Pradesh region, like the monal, the khalij, the koklas and the great western tragopan. The latter one is the statebird of Himachal Pradesh. They are endangered, but you can see them in a pheasant breeding initiative in Sarahan, hence the fence on the picture.
