Thanh and Ghi's first month. A thousand first experiences. We stopped counting after the first week. They have settled in remarkably well and are extremely happy. Karen Leonard has resided in Essendon, Australia, all of her life. For the past thirty years she has successfully run a small business in Essendon, The Karen Leonard Music School.
A dedicated traveler since the age of eighteen, Karen has visited many countries. In 2000 while backpacking through Vietnam, Karen met a young street kid and they had an instant connection. The kangaroos were definitely a highlight of the visit to the zoo.

This zoo keeper has worked at the Melbourne Zoo for 26 years an was a mine of information.

The kangaroo Thanh is feeding is 18 years old.
THANH AT HOME
Karen's two pooches KoKo an Mel have taken a shine to Thanh.
GHI, MISS LEE & THANH
Miss Lee our wonderful ESL teacher has volunteered to teach Ghi and Thanh two evenings per week at Karen's home. Thanh has quickly developed a love of books and is thoroughly enjoying the pleasure of reading.
FIRST TRIP TO THE THEATRE
Thanh was on the edge of her seat throughout most of the show.
GHI SUITED UP AND FEELING GOOD!
Ghi was awe struck by Melbourne's beautiful State Theatre.
MY FAIR LADY INDEED
Fabulous seats made possible by the Director Stuart Maunder and a great show performed by Opera Australia made for a most memorable night.
