HAPPY HOLIDAYS!
December is just around the corner, which means that in mere
weeks, families and friends will fall into the welcomed routines of their
respective holidays. The holiday season can provide wonderful things; it can
bring loved ones together, often closing distances of impressive lengths so
that everyone can gather to celebrate together. It can provide strength and
faith for individuals, or bring back warm memories of holidays in the past and
give way for reflection of the past year.
At this time of year, it is nice to take inventory of our
accomplishments, and the safety and comfort that comes with the security of our
jobs, the company of our family and the roof over our head. For so many, this
is not the case. As many of you know, beneficiaries of Lifestart Foundation
programming live below the poverty line, and are reliant on our programs for
their income, their education, or physiotherapy. This holiday season, there are
many ways in which you can show your support for various Lifestart Foundation
projects, while purchasing unique gifts for your friends and family.
LSF Goodwill Wines
Please support us by a purchase of Lifestart Foundation Goodwill Wines.
•
Goodwill Wines was started by David, a man that
lost everything in the awful Black Saturday bushfires in Australia 2009. Inspired by the
many non-profit organizations providing resources to those affected, David
decided that he wanted to give back. Goodwill Wines partners with various
organizations, to create and sell wine with personalised labels, and raise
awareness for numerous causes. This year, Lifestart Foundation has collaborated
with David to sell various Australian boutique wines at an affordable cost. For
every Lifestart Foundation wine purchased, up to 70%!o(MISSING)f the profit comes
directly back, to fund our projects and programs. Whether you prefer Merlot or
Sauvignon Blanc, there is a wide variety of wines which you can purchase, and
have delivered throughout Australia
• You can find many of our workshop products
online through our
Etsy store. Our online store is filled with many of the fair-trade
and hand-made artisan products that you can find in at the
Lifestart Foundation Workshop in Hoi An. If you order early enough, we will do our absolute best to
ensure that it is delivered in time for your holiday celebration
•
Lifestart Foundation Gift Certificates are the
perfect way to give more than just a gift. You can choose from a variety of
gifts, including library books, a bicycle and even a three-wheeled
motorbike. Give this gift to someone in need in Vietnam, and dedicate your kindness
to a loved one at home

Workplace Giving is a new way to donate and support Lifestart Foundation,
available to Australians. Donating to LSF has never been easier, as you donate
directly through your work. You choose how much and how often you donate, if
the donation is more than $2, a tax benefit is received every time you donate.
With all donations deducted from your gross income there is no need to
keep tax receipts or wait to claim donations with annual tax returns. LSF then
benefits from reliable, consistent giving, necessary for the operation of many
of our programmes. This is the easiest
way to give. Short. Sweet. Simple.
• If you are interested in giving monthly, outside of Workplace Giving, please have a look at our
Monthly Members Club . Another great way to show your support, and have an incredible impact on our
current and future programmes.
We are participating in the
Global Giving December Challenge , a very exciting month-long online contest. Global Giving is
an online fundraising platform, which connects people all of the world with
causes they truly care about. Throughout December, we will be fundraising for a
year’s salary for Thuyet, LSF’s recently employed, permanent physiotherapist. For
any of you who have followed the
activities at our Free Disability Community Centre, Thuyet has brought a
fresh education, a beaming smile and the skills absolutely necessary for this
position. For a long time, LSF has relied on amazing international volunteers, trained in
physiotherapy, occupational therapy and more. When one volunteer leaves, it can
be months before another arrives. Now, in addition to these amazing volunteers,
our patients will receive consistent physiotherapy. This is essential to
ensuring that each patient’s journey continues, and that they maintain a level
of physical comfort despite their disabilities. Please follow our
Facebook and
Twitter page to stay updated on this
campaign , and how you can help! Are you interested in becoming an Ambassador for this project, and running a fundraiser in your community?
If so, please

socialmedia@lifestartfoundation.org.au For those of you who are little techno challenged like myself if you click on any of the words in blue it will automatically link you into that subject.
Sincere best wishes for a safe, happy and healthy holiday season.
