our junior suite at the Amaryllis resort in Mui Ne. The beach here is getting built up with luxury resorts at a tremendous rate and 10 years from now they will be back to back for the full length of the beach (several miles at least)
We made it up here mid day yesterday and its truly beautiful. Despite the forecast the weather was perfect; clear, mid eighties, mild humidity. The kids spent all afternoon moving between the pool and the ocean. The ocean (South China Sea actually) was the warmest any of us had ever encountered. It was like a very warm swimming pool and had to be in the 80s as well.

The resort seems to be nearly empty (this is the cool and rainy season for them) and the few other guests we have seen all seem to be Russians. There are some jellyfish about in the sea as well (clear/white about the size of a fist) but luckily they are not poisonous. If they were I'd be in trouble as I bumped into one and had its tentacles wrap around my calf. It was slightly itchy for a few minutes but that may have been mental on my part.
