Checked out at 12 but our pick-up wasn't till 8pm so we filled the day with internet, food and reading. Minivan picked us up and took us to station (I love tours they're so organised) and gradually got filled up[ till there were no seats left. At train station we were given our tickets and walked to our platform (right across a load of railway lines hahah)!

Trains are fantastic!!! It's so lucky that I wasn't introduced to them earlier otherwise our trip may have ended up being much more expensive. We were in a carriage with 2 Dutch girls, so great to be in a carriage of just 4 people and the carriage was nice and roomy and clean and we had a/c, a comfy bed, our own reading lamp and a place to store our bags, oh and there were toilets on the train, cleanish ones at that. Ah stress free travel!

We decided to have an early night and the train was due to arrive in Sapa at 6am :)
