We decided to pass on the much used tour package to Cat Ba Island and chose instead to do it ourselves. In the morning, we jumped on cyclos (bike cabs) for the ride to train station. It was a bit unearvy being in traffic on highways with trucks and cars while sitting on a chair being pushed by a bicycle. One of the stops for the day was Monkey Island where of course you can see monkeys. I got up close and personal with this one after feeding him some mango.

We sit on the top level of the Junk boat back to Ha Long city and then on back to Hanoi. It is sunny but the temperature is a bit chilly.
